"All caravan parks are not equal. Cooktown Holiday Park is a standout. Well kept grounds, clean amenities and beautiful large grassy sites. Kris at reception was professional and friendly and was very helpful with things to do and places to eat. No need to visit the info centre with a very detailed pack with maps and info. Dave showed us to our site and was very helpful. The fisho van comes every afternoon with fresh seafood. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 "

"나는 4박을 했다. 기본적으로 모텔로 개조된 백패커입니다. 공용 주방과 공용 욕실이 있었습니다. 방은 작았지만 필요한 모든 것이 있었습니다. Wi-Fi가 작동하지 않았지만 T.v와 Wi-Fi .....은 Cooktown 전역에서 발생하는 것처럼 보였습니다. 정원은 잎이 무성하여 아늑한 좌석 책으로 많은 그늘을 제공했습니다. 규칙은 단순한 보안이 꽤 좋았습니다. 고급스러운 시설이 필요한 기분이 든다면 달콤한 곳입니다. 지불한 저렴한 요금을 부과하십시오."

"This place is SO unique, magical & special! We stayed three nights and really enjoyed the peace and nature we could experience there. AND Hamish and Isabella were very great hosts, who did everything to make us feel at home - which we certainly did. Thank you for having us at your wonderful Lodge and we very highly recommend! "

"Paperbark Retreat is the must-stay place to stay in the Cooktown region. It is a tropical oasis well worth the short drive into town. Sue and Tony have done the hard work over many years to build the beautiful and relaxing site it is now and they are your amazing hosts. They want you to relax in their extended home and they go the extra mile in all they do - the beautiful quiet setting, the house/room furnishings and cleanliness (we had the room with the ensuite), Sue’s amazing breakfasts, dinners and banana bread and the oh-so comfy bed. Take up the option of having dinner there – best restaurant in town. We did on our first night. We were asked what we like and we said ‘fish’. This resulted in beautiful barramundi that Tony had caught the previous week plus a yummy fish pie. On our fourth and last night it was BBQ trevally and steamed coral trout, again a recent catch by Tony. Yes we also took photos of us and our hosts as we said a very fond and reluctant farewell. We loved our stay here so much that we are already planning a return stay next year, and we rarely return to the same place for our holidays. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. Fantastic value. Would give it 6 stars if that were an option."
