Rooms are not serviced at all during your stay, restaurant is closed, room-service is made of packaged food re-heated by staff. None of this is publicized on the hotel's website which keeps promoting full service. We were not informed when booking by phone either. Our party of three discovered all this when checking in. Completely unexpected in October 2021 as regular service has resumed everywhere in France since May 2021. When we complained, staff confessed that giving such information would have a deterrent effect, and we were candidly told that the pandemic-justified policy trims costs and helps saving money. Front desk is left to cope with angry customers, trapped when they discover the truth. Of course, guests staying juste one night and not using food & beverage service can't realize what's going on here. To add insult to injury, housekeeping burst in my room at 9am on my last morning there, to clean my room for a next customer, despite my having pressed the « privacy » red button on the door, not to mention that I had of course not even checked-out yet. Breakfast was subpar: frozen pastries (pains au chocolat, croissants...) and hazardous policies with shared silverware to collect food from the buffet. All customers keep touching the same service clamps. Fully inconsistent with the excuse of limiting virus spread! In other properties, rooms are made up daily and each guest has his personal clamps at breakfast buffet. One of our room on the ground floor also suffered from noise coming from neighbors just above: flushing toilets and showers woke us up. On the bright side, rooms were perfectly clean and staff was kind. To sum up, Oceania Quimper has purposely chosen to lie on its website and to mislead its customers regarding its level of service. I can only recommend to choose deliberately an other hotel, a property you can trust.
