"Our arrival at the property started with the lady at reception telling us the family room we booked was unavailable. Nobody had sent a message or given us the option to change our booking in advance which is unfair if they cannot provide what we booked. We were travelling with our two girls 7 and 10 and getting them to lock themselves in their room in a “shared” cottage was less than ideal. We had a sleepless night with them coming into our room, as scared, and all of this the night before our older daughter was competing. The place is in serious need of renovation. It’s old and run down. The Leather chair in our room was peeling, the rooms are dark and a bit grim to be honest. Only highlight was the lively ladies at breakfast. They truly did their best and were lovely with the kids. I wish we could have given the owners feedback but nobody was at reception when we left and we received no direct communication from the property or an apology regarding the room."

The door and windows look out on to passage so everybody can look into room. Easy access into room through windows so you do not feel safe. "
