Maintenance personnel are also present and moving about during the day.The machinery is parked in the back of the property, far from the lake, and does not block views or access to the shoreline, dock, or lake. The building is a historical landmark known as The Dog built in 1903 with modern electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling. This is a comfortable well lit studio. The boat slip is across the street and can accommodate up to a 20ft boat. We have completely renovated the building and furnished the units with modern appliances. Come work remote, enjoy the lake, relax and have fun.The spaceApt 2B is a studio with a changing room unit on the second floor of The Dog in Lake Bomoseen. There is a fold down couch bed and a pull out twin size bed. Although a stretch, one of the reasons we bought this quirky property was because it reminded us of our travels to the Amalfi coast: steep cliffs, fast cars and a short trek to the water....IYKYK. Our home is well situated. It has lake access, a private dock and two kayaks for your enjoyment (must wear life jackets). ( Dock is not set up for motor boats) Its walking distance to the LakeHouse Restaurant and Crystal Beach, a mile from the Taproom at LB Restaurant and Neshobe Beach. A kayak ride from all of those as well as Bomoseen State Park. 7 minutes to the town of Castleton, 10 minutes to the train station, 20 minutes to Rutland, 30 minutes to Middlebury, 40 minutes to both Killington and Okemo/Jackson Gore ski areas.
