'The hotel I was originally booked in had a flood so at the last minute I had to find another one, I found  Arkale lodge and it didn’t disappoint, the rooms are pretty basic, but extremely clean which  in my book is more important than a fancy room. And certainly good enough for the price I paid, the gentleman that showed me around was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was from 7 which was perfect for my continuation of my Hadrians wall walk. The Breakfast was included in the room price and was exceptional (full English, which I easily adapted as a non meat eater)  It was plentiful, delicious and freshly made. And a great start to my long tiring day  Thank You so Much  For your kind hospitality  Cathie :)'

'We stayed in Carlisle for a couple of nights. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the station and close to the city centre. There were a lot of pubs and restaurants close by which was convenient. The hotel was clean and comfortable.'

'Booked for an overnight stay when travelling back from Scotland. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. Room was clean and tidy with nice amenities. Would definitely stay here again if in the area'

'이렇게 높은 고도에 도착한 건 처음이에요. 기차에서 내리고 나니 기분이 완전히 달라졌어요. 여기 사는 사람들이 어떤 기분인지는 모르겠어요. 길거리의 아주머니들조차 타이레놀 10정이 적힌 단체 티셔츠를 입고 있어요. 역에서 나오면 바로 호텔이 보입니다. 매우 편리하죠. 기차를 탈 필요는 없습니다. 단점은 조금 오래되었다는 점인데, 반면 엘리베이터는 매우 복고적이고 참신합니다. 뜨거운 물이 충분히 나옵니다.'
