This beautiful smart vacation home has been newly renovated. The living room has a vaulted ceiling with a wood stove sitting on a marble fireplace, ceiling fan, two electric fireplaces and has central air conditioning/heating mini ducts on each floor along with a gas heater on the first floor. You will be cozy and warm during the Winter and cool in the Summer. The home features three smart TV's high speed internet, with built in USB outlet plugs through out.
The space
This luxury home has a loft with a master, queen size bed with fireplace and 55" TV. Two first floor bedrooms, one with full size bed and a 32" TV, the other an office/bedroom with a pullout twin bed. This home has two luxury bathrooms with showers, and a toilet/bidet in each. Built in washer/dryer in the 1st floor bath. There is an outdoor deck with table, seating and bbq off the main living room. Downstairs a screened deck with a gas fire pit/game table with seating for six. Two kayaks, paddles and vests to be used at nearby pond, trail across the street. Free access for one adult to Waterville Valley Community Center. You can purchase additional daily guest passes. Currently additional adult passes are $20 per day Friday to Sunday, and holidays . Seniors $10 per day weekends, children 8-17 $10 per day and children 7 and under free any day weekends. Monday-Friday Daily Pass $10 per adult, Seniors 65 plus $5, Children 8-17 $5 and under 7 free. Feel free to enjoy the big field out front for yard games and picnics. There’s a basketball court, campfire pit and a short walk to the river for cooling off and checking out views of the beautiful covered bridge. Cabin in the woods with amazing mountain views. Situated on 2.5 acres and surrounded on 3 sides with 30 additional acres; peace and privacy.
Skiing, Snowboarding:
- 25 minute drive to Loon Mountain
- 25 minute drive to Waterville Valley (discounted tickets available).
The space
Very welcoming cabin with a large entertainment space upstairs (kitchen, dining room, living room, fireplace) and 3 bedrooms/ 2 bathrooms downstairs.
Imagine warming up by the fireplace after a day skiing, hiking, or simply taking in the peace and quiet of this mountain side retreat.
WINTER BONUS: 1 mile from the cabin there is a full ski lodge with weekend live music, food, on tap beers, and $20 lift ticket for day or night skiing!
Books, board games, cards etc are all provided to really disconnect from the hustle of the city to reconnect with friends & family.
Guest access
While our home can house up to 6 people, this comes with 3 one-person passes to the community center that has pools, sauna, jacuzzi , game room, workout gym, etc.
You can purchase additional passes directly at the center for an additional cost.
Interaction with guests
We do not live locally but we are available to answer any questions and are available by phone and email.
Other things to note
Winter- the road to the house has steep portions which can be tough during inclement weather. The roads are well maintained with regular plowing and sand. Cars with snow tires or all-wheel drive will have no issues.
For others we’ve had people park at the community center (super easy to get to for those with cars that struggle in the snow) and then the most suited car drives people the few blocks up the hill to the house.
There is enough parking for 2 cars in the driveway.

The Bears Lair is located within the Waterville Valley Estates. When booking a stay at the Bears Lair, you get access to 2 free passes to the Waterville Valley Estates Community Center. Here you can enjoy outdoor/indoor pools and hot tubs as well as many other amenities such as a gym, arcade, bar, restaurant and more. Within the Estates is also a three trail ski mountain that offers night skiing and sledding. Campton mountain is a short drive or walk from the property. The Bears Lair provides many home essentials to make your stay more enjoyable. The house is spacious and cozy and gives you that true log cabin vibe. 10 minutes from Waterville Valley ski resort, 25 minutes to Loon Mountain, 30 minutes to Cannon Mountain.
