It is a small district, bounded by the large via Tramontana and viale Poetto and by the salt pans of Molentargius. The main internal street, via Favonio, ends in the nearby Quartiere del Sole. Here is the old little church of the salt pans and the new church of the Ss. Nome di Maria, built in the early eighties. In the district there is also the headquarters of the district number 5 which includes seven other districts of the city. Furthermore, a middle school (C. Colombo), an elementary school and a nursery school, basketball and football sports clubs are built, and various opportunities for youth aggregation are offered thanks to the scout group that operates there. It borders the Poetto and San Bartolomeo districts and is located next to the Quartiere del Sole.
