It was absolutely amazing experience. We came from Japan & came to highland area to escape the city busyness. We are astonished about this hidden gem. As we came in we were welcomed with fantastic passion fruit juice. We came after dark & only requested simple white rice & fried vegetable but the chef and her staff made an amazing dinner with simple vegetable & rice. I realized how food prepared with heart can heal our soul. I was kept thinking if people in the world could eat this kind of food with real soul in it, could heal the whole world!! It is so amazing to be surrounded by beautiful trees &sounds of animals. I will definitely come back again. O

This is a very nice hotel that is light and airy, and gives you a sense of being in the country. The staff are wonderful and make the experience what it is. Breakfast and dinner are very good, although it would be great to see more variation. Dambulla town has quite limited food options, so hotels like this are often the only choice for guests. The location is good - near to Dambulla, Sigiriya and only 1.5 hours from Anuradhapura. It would be nice to go for walks near to the hotel including to the lake. It is possible but there are guard dogs for the homes on the path to the hotel which makes for a less than relaxing walk. Overall, an excellent hotel

Just a short walk from the bus stop, this gem of a guesthouse is hands down the best place to stay in Sri Lanka. The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, always offering help and thoughtful advice. He even arranged for a local tuk-tuk driver at a very reasonable price, ensuring I had the best experience exploring the area. Every afternoon, he would check in and offer a delightful cup of tea, making the stay feel extra special. His wife’s cooking is an absolute highlight—breakfast was not just delicious but prepared with so much care, adding a homely touch to every meal. The room itself was super clean, big, and incredibly comfortable. From start to finish, they both made me feel completely at home. I can say this was the best accommodation I experienced during my time in Sri Lanka, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable and comfortable stay.

The lake next to the property is beautiful and the owner is really accommodating - he escorted me to the lookout as it is dangerous to go out by yourself in the evening and early morning because of the elephants that may wander through the area. Both him and his wife were very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Sigiriya. The room has a tea and coffee station, a mini fridge, and air conditioning. You are in nature, so if you don’t mind a couple of little frog friends in the bathroom, and you are a bird enthusiast, then this is the place for you.

자연 친화적인 경험을 위해 이 호텔을 예약했습니다. **환경:** 먼저 주변 환경에 대해 이야기해 보겠습니다. 유명 건축가 바와(Bawa)의 작품으로, 호텔은 디자인 철학처럼 자연 친화적이고 환경을 생각합니다. 개방형 로비와 복도에는 에어컨이 없었으며, 조명은 저녁 6시 이후에야 켜졌습니다. 돌아다니다 보면 원숭이를 만날 수 있었고, 심지어 멀리서 야생 스리랑카 코끼리도 볼 수 있었습니다. 또한 저녁 6시 이후에 객실로 돌아오면 천장과 벽에서 많은 '작은 친구들'(특히 통통한 도마뱀)을 만날 수 있었습니다. 객실 발코니에는 새들과 강아지들이 자주 찾아왔습니다. 오후에 휴식을 취하는 동안 새가 창문에 부딪히는 소리를 여러 번 들었는데, 좀 안쓰러웠습니다. 불을 켜서 쫓아낼 수 있었습니다. **위생:** 소파가 약간 더러웠는데, 습기 때문에 곰팡이가 핀 것 같아 앉을 엄두가 나지 않았습니다. 발코니에는 동물이 자주 드나들어서 가끔 동물 배설물이 있었습니다. **서비스:** 체크인 시 환영 의식이 있었고, 각자에게 연꽃(수련?) 한 송이를 주었습니다. 안내를 받아 휴게 공간에 앉아 체크인을 기다리는 동안 신선한 과일 주스가 제공되었습니다. 전담 직원이 객실까지 안내하며 객실 배치 및 시설 등에 대해 설명해 주었습니다. 오후 5시에 바와 투어에 참여했는데, 설명이 매우 전문적이었고, 심지어 이해했는지 무작위로 질문하기도 했습니다. 서비스 점수 0.5점을 깎은 이유는 식당에서 젠빙궈즈(중국식 크레이프)와 비슷한 음식을 만들던 흑인 할머니 때문입니다. 백인 손님들에게는 환하게 웃으며 맞이했지만, 아시아인(황인) 손님들에게는 무관심하고 차가웠습니다. **시설:** 이것이 가장 큰 문제였습니다. 화장실 변기의 물 내림 시스템은 충격적이게도 지난 세기 우물처럼 작동했습니다. 물을 깨끗하게 내리려면 짧은 시간 안에 물 내림 버튼을 여러 번 빠르게 눌러야 많은 물이 나왔습니다. 환풍기는 현관문 근처에 설치되어 있었고, 소음이 매우 심했습니다. 심지어 껐는데도 미세한 소리가 계속 났습니다. 에어컨 스위치는 침대 머리맡 벽에 다이얼식으로 되어 있었고, 3~4단계로만 조절할 수 있었습니다. 가장 황당했던 것은 하룻밤 사이에 정전이 두세 번 발생했다는 것입니다. 매번 짧은 시간 안에 전기가 복구되긴 했지만, 그래도 매우 불편하게 느껴졌습니다. 호텔이라면 최소한 전력 공급은 안정적으로 유지해야 하는 것 아닌가요? 저희가 묵은 502호 객실은 호수 전망이 절반만 보였고 (아마도 호수 수위가 많이 낮아져서인 듯합니다), 6층 식당 바로 아래층이었습니다. 밤 10시부터 새벽 1시까지 위층에서 테이블과 의자를 옮기고 물건을 나르는 소리가 계속 들렸습니다. 수면 장애가 있는 분들은 신중하게 고려하시기 바랍니다. 방음이 매우 취약하여 로비 소리가 아주 선명하게 들렸고, 심지어 프런트 데스크의 전화 통화 소리까지 들릴 정도였습니다.

호텔은 체크인시 훌륭하고 넓고 아름다운 방입니다. 우리는 상쾌한 주스를 받았습니다. 부지에 큰 수영장이 있고 방에 뜨거운 물이 나오는 큰 자쿠지가 있습니다.  호텔의 마이너스: 관광 명소에서 멀리 떨어져 있습니다. 중심에서 택시는 나를 선택하는 가격으로 거기에 갈 것입니다 x2. 호텔 택시는 3 배 더 비쌉니다. 호텔 근처에 상점과 레스토랑이 없으므로 호텔 내부 음식 x3의 가격, 또한 오후 6시 이후에는 코끼리가 걸어 다니기 때문에 밖에있는 것이 위험합니다. 이제 프리미엄 상태와 5개 경주에 대해 이야기합시다. 7년의 여행 중 객실에 목욕 가운, 슬리퍼, 칫솔, 치약이 없는 최초의 호텔입니다. 샤워실 배관이 새고 문이 너무 삐걱거리며 밤에 영혼을 부를 수 있습니다. 고객에 대한 관심과 관련하여. 매니저와 대화하면서 다가오는 생일을 언급했지만 이 사실은 호텔의 어떤 형태의 관심도 보여주기 위해 어떤 식 으로든 사용하지 않았습니다. 이것은 프리미엄 호텔의 직원의 엄청난 오해입니다. 우리도 늦게 출발했고 호텔에서 몇 시간 지연하라는 요청이 거부되었습니다. 매니저가 유료로 체류 연장을 제안했기 때문에 이것은 새로운 고객의 도착 때문이 아닙니다. 미래의 고객에게는 이 사실이 선택의 결정적일 수 있습니다. 일반적으로 호텔은 나쁘지 않지만 직원의 서비스와 유연성, 고객에 대한 개별 접근 방식은 프리미엄 수준에 해당하지 않으며 개선이 필요합니다.

Kalundewa Retreat는 놀라운 개념과 정말 눈에 띄는 아름답고 한적한 위치를 가지고 있습니다. 주변 환경은 평화롭고 독특하여 연결을 끊을 수 있는 멋진 장소입니다. 즉, 특정 지역에는 마모의 흔적이 눈에 띄고 재산 유지 관리의 일부 측면이 개선될 수 있습니다. 그러나 이것을 진정으로 보상한 것은 호텔 팀이었습니다. 그들의 서비스는 따뜻하고 세심하며 진정으로 환영했습니다. 음식은 훌륭하고 세심하게 준비되어 전반적인 경험에 크게 추가되었습니다. 더 나은 유지 관리로 이곳은 예외적일 가능성이 있습니다.

이것은 우리가 방문하고 싶었던 지역의 주요 명소를 보는 측면에서 훌륭한 위치에 있는 멋진 호텔입니다(Sigiriya 및 Pidurangala 바위까지 도보 거리, 야간 로리스 산책까지 짧은 툭툭 타기). 주요 도로에 있으므로 호텔 앞에 우리처럼 방이 있다면 약간의 소음이 있습니다. 특히 이른 아침에 시끄러운 음악이 재생됩니다. 가능한 한 도로에서 멀리 떨어진 방을 요청하는 것이 좋습니다. 방은 내가 기대했던 것보다 더 기본적 이었지만 중요한 것은 크고 깨끗했습니다. 나는 당신이이 위치에 적절한 호텔에 가격을 지불하고 있다고 생각합니다. 호텔 수영장은 크고 매우 깨끗하며 몸을 담그고 더위를 식히기에 완벽합니다. 아름다운 나무로 둘러싸인 매우 경치가 좋습니다. 우리는 채식 옵션이 거의없는 호텔 레스토랑 메뉴에 약간 실망했으며 유사하게 아침 뷔페는 우리가 구입할 가치가 없었지만 호텔에서 도보 거리에 다른 많은 레스토랑이 있습니다. 직원들은 특히 로리스 야간 투어와 연락하는 데 도움이되었습니다.

Embora a nossa estadia tenha sido curta, foi bastante agradável graças à simpatia do staff em particular do Mr. Ruchira, que nos fez sentir muito bem-vindos desde o início. O alojamento era limpo e confortável, e a localização era excelente. Ficamos impressionados com o cuidado e a atenção aos detalhes, tornando a experiência muito positiva. Com certeza voltaremos!

This hotel is located in the forest within walking distance of Sigiriya. Since it’s in the forest, I expected there to be a lot of insects, but to my surprise, there were hardly any inside the room, and I was able to stay comfortably. I had booked for two nights, planning to climb Sigiriya Rock in the morning and then relax by the pool in the afternoon. However, it seems that the hotel has a policy of turning off the electricity in the rooms during the daytime. Although I asked a staff member to turn the main power back on and they did, it was soon turned off again. When the main power is off, the room becomes completely dark, and neither the Wi-Fi nor the air conditioner works. It was clear that even if I asked them to turn it back on again, the same thing would just keep happening. I felt it would only add to my stress, so I decided to move to another hotel.
