Red Rocker Inn

The new owners are doing a good job at maintaining the inn. The breakfast was good and tasteful and was veryfilling. It is a great location in Black Mountain with walking distance to downtown area and Lake Tomahawk. It is a great location to most of the places in western North Carolina (Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway, Mount Mitchell, multiple waterfalls NC and multiple state parksand national parks) just to list a few. The owners are very friendly and assistance travel needs. On our next visit to the region we will stay at the Red Rocker Inn.

We celebrated 25 years of marriage with a weekend getaway in Black Mountain. Red Rocker Inn was the perfect choice for accommodations. It was so quiet, we were forced into solitude. Exactly what we needed for our normally very busy lives. We didn’t want it to end! We got a peek at a few of the rooms, they are all cozy and clean. Ours was perfect. The restaurant had great food. It was cooked well. Friendly staff there. The owners work very hard to make this a welcoming and relaxing experience. We didn’t want to leave, and we would love to come back again!

I highly recommend this lovely, quiet, well-kept B&B! The house and rooms are quaint, beds comfortable, linens soft, and all immaculately clean. 👍 Don't miss eating both dinner and breakfast here ... delicious! The owner, Mike, and his staff are friendly and customer service is outstanding. We'll be back. 🤗

Mike and Caty are excellent hosts! They provided information about hiking in the area and great restaurants. Most fun was when they invited us to help hand out candy on Halloween night. The breakfasts were amazing, especially the crepes! The inn is within walking distance of the downtown restaurants and shopping. This is THE place to stay in Black Mountain.

I loved this BNB. A friend from central NC met me in Black Mountain and we spent 4 days exploring and listening to music in nearby areas. The hosts are charming, the staff was really friendly, and I loved the front porch with its 8 or so red rocking chairs. There was also outside seating in a couple of areas on the lawn. Breakfasts were wonderful. I will definitely go back there every time I'm in the area!

I have been to Red Rocker Inn several times & every time has been great! The breakfast has changed, no longer a buffet, but they have menus you can choose from which is good bc several b&b’s don’t give you the option to choose so I really like that. No social hour but they have fresh baked cookies & can drinks you can ask for throughout the day & the refrigerator is supposed to be stocked with waters but this past weekend every time I went to get one it was empty & the lady in the kitchen said they were out. They sale wine there so you can buy a glass/bottle throughout your stay. I’ve stayed in many rooms there but I have to say “Elizabeth’s Attic Suite” is by far my favorite. It’s on the 3rd floor & very spacious with a king size bed. I just got back from taking my mother this past Sat night & they were short staffed Sunday morning but Mike the owner came right in & saved the day, great breakfast & if you go please try the cheese cheddar grits!!! They are delicious! The only thing I would recommend is keeping waters in the refrigerator & would be nice to put small tv’s in the rooms, @ night you want to lay down relax & watch a lil tv lol. Other than that everything was amazing & will definitely be going back again prob this Fall.

It had been 20 years since we stayed at Red Rocker Inn, Black Mountain, NC. We came back to celebrate our 31 year anniversary. Inn keepers have changed over the years, updated rooms 2023, but some things never change, the peaceful quiet inn and still no TV’s in the room! Michael and Katy are the inn keepers and they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was wonderful! The food was amazing and customer service was outstanding! A shout out to Crystal for getting me that glass of wine and bringing it to me while I rocked away in the red rocker. Every afternoon, the inn had fresh baked cookies and we certainly didn’t miss out on eating cookies! Michael and Katy, we enjoyed staying at the inn. We could feel your energy, your passion and see your dreams coming true! Thank you for making us feel like family. May God give you both the desires of your heart! This B&B is so charming & quaint! It was very clean, smelled good, conveniently located to downtown Black Mountain (walkable). The owners were on site and made us feel right at home. Our bathroom was recently renovated- making it a nice upgraded luxury- while still keeping to the coziness charm of the room. The food is also amazing- dinner and breakfast!! We will definitely be back!

What a perfect Christmas get away! It was like living a Hallmark movie. The bed and breakfast was beautifully decorated, so welcoming and you felt so comfortable from the moment you arrived. Our room was perfect and the food was great. We spent the day exploring the wonderful town of Black Mountain. It will be a cherished memory that I look forward to repeating on my next visit.
