This 1BR apt is centrally located for great hiking, dining, and golfing. Ravens' Perch sits atop our detached 2-car garage, with its own enclosed entrance and outside parking spaces. The apartment is pet-friendly and a standard pet fee of $50 is initiated when you check that you are bringing a pet when booking.There are stairs leading up to the apartment, so guests must be comfortable and able to climb. The apartment has a studio feel, but does have a separate bedroom for privacy. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, and a futon in the living room. Wifi allows for Amazon and Apple tv streaming. The kitchen space is small, but well equipped for most needs, including an oven. The bathroom has a shower and a washer/dryer unit. The unit is cooled/heated by a heat pump, so there is air conditioning available in the warmer months.There is a (very) small side yard space for your use only, with a charcoal grill and propane fire pit. We have two river kayaks (only safe for freshwater) that you are welcome to borrow, but you must have means of transporting them (we do have foam supports and straps for your rack if need be). The location is great, being a short (~8 min) bike ride to Acadia National Park's network of carriage paths, and an easy walk to town (~10-15 mins) so you can avoid parking fees. The Island Explorer passes right by the property, which will take you all over the island for free. "Hummingbird Suites" is approximately one mile from the main entrance to Acadia National Park. This is an immaculate, private, one-bedroom suite with hardwood floors. There is a separate sleeping area on a futon with a very comfortable double size mattress in the living room area. If you like flowers or birds you will enjoy our gardens that are frequented by many colorful birds, especially the ruby-throated hummingbird. Renovated in August of 2021 this charming apartment has 2 good sized bedrooms, a queen bed in one, and a king in the other. A family room with seating for 6 and Kitchen/Dining area with fridge, dishwasher, range and microwave. The bathroom has a new glass door shower and a large washer/dryer. All the floors have been recently redone, the hall, kitchen and living room have refinished wood floors, the bathroom and bedrooms have wood look vinyl floors.The apartment entrance is in the back of a storefront location and across from 4 townhouses. So even though you are in the center of town it has a residential feel. Walk out on to Cottage Street and get fresh baked goods next store or dine in one of the popular restaurants across the street. You can take a short walk up Cottage Street and have breakfast at the famous Jordan's Restaurant, known for their Blueberry pancakes!Head down Cottage Street to visit the many shops and a little further down to reach Agamont Park and the town pier. Go up one of the side streets and reach more stores and restaurants including one of our favorites, Cafe This Way, off of Mt Desert Street. Heading down Mt Desert is the Village Green in the center of town where the summer concerts are performed.
