바쿠, 아제르바이잔 국립역사박물관 근처 호텔

I don’t normally take the time to review places but considering that they market themselves as a 5 star hotel I want to make sure other people considering this hotel know what to expect at least. For context We stayed in this hotel for a week as a family (2 kids) in a connecting family room. First off when we arrived and checked in, the guy at reception said they would check our documents and to please wait in their restaurant. We ordered some drinks and waited. Meanwhile suddenly they start blasting Indian music so loud in the restaurant (it was only us and another family there) that we had to go ask them if they could please turn it back down again. I don’t know for who or why they put the music on so loud. This also happened when we ate breakfast one morning. After maybe 20 minutes we went to ask reception how check in was going and were only told that “they were checking”. We decided to go and get some late lunch since we didn’t know how long we needed to wait for them to “check” whatever they were checking. If the room wasn’t ready, it wouldn’t have been a problem if they simply said so and gave us a time frame for when it would be ready. But this was a taste of the service to come unfortunately. We had a connecting family room that had one bathroom to share. The master bedroom had only a window which was a small and by the ceiling facing out into the hallway (so no external window) which meant it was like sleeping with lights on all night as the hallway light were always on. In this case perhaps a curtain for that window would be good or installing sensor lights in the hallway so the light isn’t on unless someone is there. The rooms were SO warm and when we went to check about the air conditioning they told us it wasn’t working or they didn’t have it. (Not sure which was the correct answer) They couldn’t give us a straight answer. They told us the heating had been on the night before but that they had now switched it off and allowed for “air” instead. So whatever control you have in your room is basically useless. When we asked if they could allow for the air conditioning to be turned on they just told us they would sort it out but nothing got done. We had to sleep with the only external window open during the night so at least our kids could be more comfortable. Other important things to note - we got 2 towels for 4 people. We asked them to bring 2 more which wasn’t done. Only when we saw a cleaner outside in the hallway one evening (3 nights into our stay) did we get 2 more. - there was no cleaning the whole week. We asked for more water, asked if someone would come to at least remove the garbage and they told us they would send someone but never did. - as shown in the photos, one of the single beds was broken underneath. - several sheets/duvet covers were broken, one example shown in the photos. - there was cigarette burns on the double bed headboard despite it being a non-smoking room. Although the hotel is not in the heart of the city, the area is in a very pleasant residential quarter. There are good pubs, restaurants and pastry shops nearby. At night there is a grocery store and a pharmacy right next to the hotel. The rooms are clean and nice, the staff are very helpful in everything.

I would like to share my wonderful experience of staying at Excelsior Hotel Resort&Spa in Baku this June. I booked 4 nights (12-16 June) as I was planning since long time ago to visit Baku with my mom. I selected Excelsior based on reviews on *********** and its facilities. I must say I did not regret a second to have made this choice :) the hotel haz amazing interior design, superb breakfast service (thank you, team and Chef Zohra), amazing swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and spa amenities. I was super happy to celebrate my birthday in the hotel and the staff surprised me in the evening by bringing a cake and champagne to our room. It was such a beautiful gesture I will never forget:) overall, the staff is one of the best I met in my life caring, attentive, responsive and friendly. I recommend Excelsior to anyone who travels to Baku for business or leisure. Ludmila, Ukraine. June 2023.

Уютный отель, хорошее расположение. В номерах чисто, сами номера просторные. Вежливый персонал. Вкусный завтрак, но не совсем разнообразный. В номерах не хватает освещения, так как очень высокие потолки, а лампы на такую квадратуру не тянут)

I am a Marriott Gold member travelled with friends, we chose to stay at Sheraton. The experience and hospitality was absolutely pleasant. We were pleasantly (with a big smile) greeted by Mr Orkhan at the lobby and he was very happy to consider our requests and provided room upgrade and also connected room. The room had a great view and spacious. Orkhan made our experience very delightful. He gave us suggestions on places to see and restaurants to go to. Marriott you have an excellent employee in your hotel, your customers will be well taken care. I will recommend the hotel and stay to family and friends

We arrived on the 22 and was welcomed by ismail and checked in by shams from reception both were super nice and instantly gave us one of the best first impression any one can ask for. Our first day we had shawarma from black city and it was the best shawarma we ever had and made us go back again for the taste of it several times. Definitely recommend every one to try. We had the best service by our special favorite orkhan who was super friendly and the team made sure we get the best service. We had to just look once and literally the staff comes running to help. 10/10 for the attentiveness and details of the black city staff. We tried green house but the food is same as white city. Would have been amazing if they had a different cuisine than white city. We had the best shisha made by Hussain who was very kind but didn’t get the same smile and sweetness from the other staff in green house. Service was not bad but as we had an amazing experience from black city where all the staff are super attentive was a little down fall. We had dinner in white city and couldn’t order anything else after we tried the honey baby chicken which was absolutely delicious. We also had lunch twice in white city but the service was super slow due to lack of staff but David while we noticed it was definitely a time of rush he had done amazing while doing the service with a very energetic smile and a very positive vibe. The hotel has a beautiful steam room, sauna and a pool. I met gulshan from spa while I went for sauna who always was super attentive kind with a gorgeous smile. It is beautiful to go for a walk out side the hotel as it’s near a park with ocean views. We had met amazing locals as well as everyone we met were super kind. The hotel has beautiful garden and greenery around the property. We usually take pictures in every country we go but we fell in love with the gardens and the colours around we took pictures just out side the hotel. Lots of mini butterflies and just super pretty and beautiful colorfulness around the hotel. The rooms are spacious and if you love mirrors this would be a perfect place as the hallway to room are filled with huge mirrors. The only problem we faced was that the hotel didn’t have a eu plug and we had to take a walk to get them on the first day but other than that didn’t have any issues. Lastly was checked out by Orkhan from reception who was funny and sweet asked us about our stay and had a good last impression as well. All together a great team at marriot and definitely would recommend to stay as the hotel is beautiful with amazing facilities and to top of has amazing staff with delicious food. Personally this was the best vacation 💕

이른 아침 바쿠 공항에 착륙했기 때문에 나는 나중에 도시 기반 숙박 시설로 이동하기 전에 약간의 눈을 감기 위해 Fly Inn을 예약했습니다. 나는 매우 감동했고 호텔에 대한 긍정적 인 의견 외에는 아무것도 없습니다. 직원들은 도착 전 이메일에 매우 도움이 되었고 시간을 제게 작동시키기 위해 나섰습니다. 리셉션 팀도 체크인(&아웃) 시 친절하고 효율적이었습니다. 그들은 공항 24/7을 오가는 무료 셔틀을 제공합니다. 약 5 분 거리입니다. 내 방은 내가 예상했던 것보다 훨씬 좋았습니다. 거대한 그림 창, 훌륭한 침대 및 샤워 시설 및 괜찮은 목욕 제품의 관대 한 배열이있는 정말 넓습니다. 공공 장소도 다소 좋습니다. 일반적인 공항 편의 숙박 시설보다 잘립니다.
