Charming period property in Devenport. Very welcoming owner and a super room (Room 1) with a very comfortable bed and a huge bathroom with rolltop bath. Coffee and tea available any time of the day. Easy access to town, restaurants snd harbour where you can take a boat to the beautiful Waiheke island.

If you’d prefer not to stay in the CBD, then seriously consider staying here in Devonport. It’s a very nice short walk to the ferry, in a lovely suburban area, with Takarunga (Mount Victoria) directly behind the house. It’s a short climb up to one of the best views over to Auckland and the water. Free espresso coffee machine use, very clean rooms, friendly hosts, and easy parking on the street. Recommended for a lovely stay.

We stayed for 13 nights in May on a visit to see family and chose this guest house the moment we saw it online and it proved to be as amazing as it sounded. The room was beautiful with an amazing view of the city from the terrace. Spotlessly clean room. The hosts, David and Tracy went above and beyond which only made our stay more special.
