를레 빌라 카롤라(Relais Villa Carola)

Great stay! The staff was impeccable. Beautiful background and the pool was awesome. It was a nice diversion to the crowds of Port cervo. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Whatever we needed, thet supplied. Simply, it was a relaxing vacation in the hills of Sardinia.

This hotel cancelled our reservation on 6/20/23, for a scheduled 5 night stay, 9 days before our expected arrival. Mind you, Sardinia is over 5,000 miles from our home, and this is the height of the summer tourist season in Sardinia and Europe as a whole. The hotel informed us that upgrades / construction of new facilities were not going to be completed on time for our arrival / govt approval to open the resort ("These types of works need building regulations approval and, sadly, we won’t obtain the authorizations for the opening on time..We are very sorry for the inconvenience and for the little notice."). This reservation had been booked for 2 months! Not once were we informed until the cancellation, that there was construction occuring on the property. Nowhere on the hotel's website is this indicated either. The hotel offered up other accomodations at another hotel, in a terribly inferior location, with an inferior room and significantly farther away from restaurants, beaches, etc. They said the other hotel would honor the same price (for an inferior product). Relais admitted it was hard to find any alternatives - "We are still working to offer you a suitable alternative, which is not easy because there is little availability on those days" - due to this being high season and due to the late nature of the cancellation notice. The hotel also had the nerve to "remind you that we have not taken anything from your credit card, so you can find an alternative arrangement and cancel the one we made without penalty." I would certainly hope you wouldn't charge me for a hotel stay that the hotel cancelled!!!! As a result of the hotel's cancellation, I scrambled for ~24 hrs to find a suitable alternative myself, and said alternative is costing me an add'l 1,300 Euros over 5 days. When mentioned to Relais, they didn't even respond about this add'l cost to me....Look stuff happens, but you at least need to inform guests when booking that there could be delays / risks due to construction. You don't wait until 9 days prior to a guest's arrival. You offer to compensate the guest in some way shape or form. Further, this is not like a cancellation in a big urban area in a major global city, where there are lots of potential relocation options. This is on an island, where in this case, the guest is coming from 5,000+ miles away. I could not be more disappointed with the Relais. I was really looking forward to staying at their resort. Be warned!

Beautiful impeccably clean hotel very close to Porto Cervo. Pros Rooms are beautiful not sure what they sprayed every day but it was heavenly 5 min drive to Porto Cervo Very close to Pevero beach which was one of our favourites Breakfast area is so scenic and food was great. The homemade baking delicious! The Staff. Wow!!! Riccardo you are a Pro!!! Cons No bar or restaurant on site Nothing within walking distance, you definitely need a car No pool. Not really an issue for us as we love the beach and we are in Sardegna with the most beautiful beaches but it would have been nice in the afternoon some days for a few hours All in all a wonderful stay!

Great location on the lake but Piazza view rooms are noisy at night

My wife and I are really demanding (see difficult) when it comes to hotels that giving a 5 star is pretty exceptional. Relais Villa Carola deserves a solid 5 stars. Starting with cleanliness, the room was spotless and the bathroom as clean as our home's. The staff are all tremedously kind, smiling, always ready to help and super knowledgeable of the island. The Relais itself is gated and made us feel so safe and not worry about our car rental and belongings. It is also 10 minutes away from all the key spots (Porto Cervo pier and luxury mall, top beaches, restaurants,...). The morning breakfast is in a beautiful terrace with a view, and includes special measures for COVID19; on the menu are fresh omelettes, fruits, cheeses, and a wide variety of other options. Again top level cleanliness! I do not usually write reviews, but this place felt like home and we could not leave it without giving it the credit it is due. Congrats to this team and the owners of this business, we will recommend it to all our friends and come back again when in Sardegna.

Hotel charmoso e incrível! Quartos muito confortáveis, além de todo o estabelecimento ter muito bom gosto e cuidado! A localização não é tão central mas de fácil acesso se vc está de carro. Em Porto Cervo vc precisará de carro para ir na maioria dos lugares pois tudo fica longe. Apesar de não possuir área de lazer como piscina o atendimento é impecável. Tive ótimas recomendações e ajuda dos atendentes Riccardo e Lorenzo. Na recepção tive uma garrafa de vinho oferecida pelo hotel e na saída me deram mel de produção local.
