Pets are NOT allowed on furniture. Please DO NOT leave pets unattended.INTERNET: We pay for gigabyte internet service. Our place is perfect for remote working that requires video calls.THE HOUSE: Spacious two-story house with a total size of 2,425 sqft. Can host 8 people very comfortably. Second floor: living room, full kitchen , dining area, sun room; 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, and 2 full bathrooms. There are a total of 15 stairs to get to the second floor. First floor: living room, kitchenette, 1 full bedroom, 1 full bathroom, pool table, arcade game, laundry room. This floor is also accessible from the garage without stairs.BABY STUFF: We have a baby gate at the top of the stairs. Start your days with a trip to the cafe just two blocks away, then drive five minutes to the trailheads of the magnificent Arcata Community Forest. Highway access is only three minutes away as well.The spaceThis is a private unit that is detached to the main house in beautiful bayside CA. It is has been recently renovated and upgraded with all new appliances, king-size bed, and large, open floor plan living/kitchen/and dining area perfect for unwinding after a long day of adventuring.Guest accessThis unit is detached from the main house, but shares a wall with the laundry facility that the main house uses. There is no guest access to the laundry facility/ there is a smart lock on the laundry room door in your unit. You will have access to the entire unit during your stay, and the small patio area just outside of the front entrance. There is a private driveway area for parking and an electronic keypad for entering the unit.Other things to noteThere is a Ring doorbell on the front door. This unit is best for only 2 guests, and it is not pet friendly. An absolute gem. A chef's kitchen with high end appliances throughout, tastefully updated to honor its 1930's charm. Situated on massive lot in the heart of town. Walkable to Cal Poly Humboldt, restaurants, and shopping, yet tucked away in its own serene surroundings. Extremely spacious layout, perfect for entertaining those in your group. A private driveway and multiple entrances to the house make it easily accessible and safe. Enjoy a stroll through the immaculately maintained yard.
The space
Guests will have access to the entire house and grounds. You will be given self-check in instructions and enter via a smart lock. Feel free to park up to two vehicles in the private driveway, located through the alley in the back. Both entrances include a staircase in order to access the exterior doors, please keep this is mind for those in your party that might have mobility issues.
The house is incredibly spacious, including a large, high end, eat-in kitchen, dining room, large living room and entry area, two large bedrooms and a bathroom with tub/shower combo. We include a local bottle of wine with your stay in order to elevate your experience! There are two guest rooms in the house, one holds a king-sized bed and boasts views of the garden. The other has a queen-sized bed and has a gorgeous view of one of the large redwoods on the property. There is also a laundry room area just off of the kitchen available for guest use as well.
A deck is situated right off of the dining room area, making for a perfect indoor outdoor entertaining experience.
Guest access
Guests will not have access to the suite upstairs on the second story of the house--it is used for host storage. We also have a basement area that is not accessible for guests. The supply closet in the house will remain locked for the duration of your stay.
Other things to note
-There are two surveillance cameras on the front gate where guests enter, and on the driveway.
-This listing is pet friendly, and we do have a pet fee of $50 per stay. We do not allow pets on the furniture, and we do have a fine for extra cleaning that may need to take place due to pet damage, such as staining the duvets or sheets.
-Parties and events are not allowed.

This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house is ideal for a group retreat to nature. With 1 full kitchen, 2 kitchenettes, 4 dining areas, 2 living rooms, front/back gardens, 2 patios, groups can gather here for time together, but also enjoy time apart. Lounge in the garden by one of the 2 propane fire pits, 2 fountains, outdoor stove, and grill, as ravens circle through the towering redwoods all around you. Just be forewarned, you might never want to leave!
This home is convertible. Keep all the doors open and you have 1 large home. Close a couple of doors and you have 3 separate apartments. It can sleep up to 13 people with the following layout: 3 private bedrooms with queen beds, 1 private bedroom with a twin bed, 1 living room with a queen futon, 1 living room with a queen fold out sofa bed and a large single sofa-bed, 1 dining area/sitting room with a twin bed.
Please understand this is a gathering house, but *not* a party house. House rules are strictly enforced to keep the home and neighborhood safe and pleasant for everyone.

This charming, light-filled bungalow is full of character and walking distance from the heart of town. A perfect little oasis to unwind after adventures in the area and comes complete with an eat-in-kitchen, dining room, lovely patio area and gated yard space. The Casita is well-appointed, and fully stocked with everything you might need to cook a fabulous meal, or just enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace in the evening. A private driveway makes it easy to unload--come getaway at the Casita!
