Had a great weeks stay at this hotel . Everywhere spotlessly clean . Food excellent, plenty of choice for breakfast . Evening meal at least 4 or 5 courses. Staff very friendly & helpful . Provided take away breakfast on the day we left at 6.00am .Well run family hotel , thoroughly recommend it.

The room was clean and pretty. We had a beautiful view of the garden. The staff is very kind and gave us a lot of advice for planning our trip better by motorcycle. I highly recommend this hotel and its restaurant. I loved the cacio e pepe very much!

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in over 40 years. It is a shabby, tatty, dirty, dated run down dump. I stayed in room 301 , the single room located directly above the hotel entrance, top floor. The bathroom was ok slightly dated but clean as it was fully tiled, the only issue was the shower door came off the runners , ever morning leaving it hanging on only by the top links on the door, not good and potentially creating a high risk of fall off altogether, glass everywhere in a bathroom. The single bedroom certainly requires a lick of paint, I think that the ceiling has been partially painted on the wall edges as it is an off white colour, the remainder of the ceiling covered in polystyrene tiles are still engrained in nicotine stains. I attempted to open the floor to ceiling window blinds, one of the 5 blinds simply fell off. I tried to open the Victorian nets at the windows to all light in, the net poles fell an both items remained off for the remainder of the week. The gloss paint work on the window frames and doors has not been touched in the last two decades, yellow and badly nicotine stained, The windows are the original frames , hence they do not close correctly, the hotel is on a main road, get used the the noise. Internet connection, sometimes ok, but mainly very poor, intermittent throughout the week. The food, I was Half Board, I only ate 2 evening meals in the whole week, actually I did not eat them as the food was disgusting, the presentation of the courses was a poor man’s Master Chef , the standard of the actual food was the worst I have ever had even a basic Blackpol B&B during the illuminations is 100% better than this hotel, you do not get a drink with your meal, 4 Euros for tap water, 16 Euros for a bottle of wine that is 4 euros from the supermarket over the road. breakfasts where ok, but do not expect a full English and the scrambled egg is the egg powder left over from the end of the 2nd world war, about the time this hotel was in-depth cleaned. You may ask well ask why I did not complain, none of the staff, well I only seen 4 ladies working there spoke English, or pretended they didn’t, tried to get my point across, waste o& time. The staff were not even supplied with a sensible hygienic work wear, the same lady served me every morning and the couple of evening meals I had in her purple fleece over the 7 days, I ended up spending 50 / 60 euros poverty the following 5 evenings eating out, a spend I did not foresee. Not even a thank you from the girl on receptionist when paying my bill and 28 euro tax on leaving for my return journey this morning. This accommodation is bleak, take it from me and give it a miss ,

Un hotel 4 stelle che ne meriterebbe al massimo 2. La struttura in sé sarebbe anche carina, peccato che non siano stati fatti lavori di manutenzione probabilmente da quando è stato fatto. Abbiamo dormito nella camera all’ultimo piano che era una ghiacciaia, il condizionatore non scaldava, i mobili vecchi e molto rovinati, le coperte insufficienti, il frigobar vuoto e la doccia perdeva. La sera abbiamo cenato in hotel e lo staff era davvero improvvisato, il mangiare pessimo con piatti freddi e completamente insipidi, l’acqua ci è arrivata a fine pasto nonostante l’avessimo richiesta 3 volte. Durante la notte poi, abbiamo avuto la sorpresa di trovarci i vigili del fuoco davanti alla finestra senza che nessuno ci avvisasse, per una perdita di scintille dalla scritta dell’hotel, proprio sopra la nostra stanza. Fino alle 2 è stato quindi impossibile dormire e né la notte stessa né il giorno dopo nessuno dello staff si è preoccupato di darci una spiegazione o scusarsi per l’inconveniente. La colazione peggio della cena, il cappuccino della macchinetta sapeva di cioccolato e il latte scendeva a pezzi dalla bocchetta. Lo staff era completamente disorganizzato e a dir poco sprovveduto, l’unica preoccupazione della titolare era stata presentare un regolamento sugli animali, che a mio parere andrebbe sottoposto al momento della prenotazione e non all’arrivo, dicendo che in passato hanno avuto problemi con chi lasciava l’animale in stanza per troppo tempo, quando non era però consentito portarli nelle altre aree dell’hotel. Credo che il problema dei cani sia proprio l’ultimo di cui preoccuparsi cara signora, prima andrebbero rivedere molte altre gravissime lacune. Ovviamente siamo scappati una notte in anticipo, vacanza rovinata e non abbiamo avuto nemmeno uno sconto per scusarsi dei disagi della notte. SCONSIGLIATISSIMO!

De aankomst was een klucht zo niet een drama in 3 delen. De boeking via Booking bleek niet te vinden terwijl wij de bevestigingsmail konden tonen. Veel gezucht, gesteun, geklaag en gedoe. Dik een uur moeten wachten terwijl er kamers vrij waren, maar de eigenaresse bleek persoonlijk toestemming te moeten verlenen maar was afwezig!!!! Geen adequate reactie zoiets van “sorry, we zoeken het even uit, neem een frisje op het terras”. Nee de receptioniste vond het belangrijker om haar pauze te nemen, iedereen te moeten beschuldigen dan gastvrij te acteren. Overal los liggende opgekrulde kleedjes met rafels waarover je makkelijk kunt struikelen. Een airco die niet werkt maar wel lekt en dineren kan niet op het terras omdat “Madam de eigenaresse” dat niet goed vindt. Reacties hierop zijn voornamelijk gericht op de fout vooral bij anderen neerleggen (Booking) en niet probleemoplossend. “Voldoende” omdat het ontbijt goed was en het zwembad heerlijk en medewerkster Rebecca was het zonnetje in huis. Met gierende banden vertrokken om nooit meer terug te keren.
