Boutiquehotel Die Alpbacherin 4 Sterne Superior

On the whole, we had a lovely short stay at this quirky boutique hotel in the centre of charming Alpbach, an hour’s drive from Innsbruck airport. A warm welcome, complimentary drink on arrival and our room being ready ahead of check-in after an early flight was a great start to our break. Room was well-appointed with 2 bathrooms. Bed was really comfortable. Room itself was a little warm during the night. We couldn’t find a control to turn down the heating, so would have the window open for a while. The toiletries were high end organic and smelt divine but sadly didn’t suit my sensitive skin. I was disappointed for there not to be a coffee maker in the room. I’m more of a coffee in the morning kind of girl than herbal tea as pleasant as they were. Didn’t really miss a mini bar with the bar downstairs and a Spar shop in the centre for snacks. The food was a definite highlight of our stay. Superb selection at breakfast and snack time on the half board package. Loved the selection of breads, cold cuts and cheeses, smoked salmon, salad bar, etc. the Apple strudel with cream was delicious. The 6-course evening meal was a real treat with high quality ingredients and presentation. Rudolf and the blonde Czech lady gave stand out service in the restaurant as did the lady on the omelette station. Loved our time in the pool (could never tire of that view!). Only tried the family sauna, wasn’t brave enough to go commando. LOL. It was busier in the late afternoon with younger guests. The mobile phone free policy didn’t appear to be observed nor was the reserving of indoor loungers. It was lovely and quiet around lunchtime after my lovely facial and tidy up with Angelike. Pretty much had the place to myself and enjoyed taking in the stunning view and the alpine air on the outdoor terrace, sipping on lemon water. With only minor niggles, I’d rate this hotel 4.5.

Excellent hotel. We went as a family of 4 and had a wonderful time here. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. The food was excellent, so well presented and tasty. 6 courses every evening. The rooms were lovely and spacious. The service from all staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Free 5 min bus to the slopes. Bus stop behind hotel.

This hotel is fabulous. We were two families staying for a weeks ski holiday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. The rooms are clean. We would have liked a bit more storage. The outdoor heated pool on the top floor is a real treat. This is a family friendly hotel with a kids playroom (geared towards younger kids). Looking forward to returning.

We booked the hotel because of the spa - the infinity pool is amazing. The hotel is described as boutique hotel, not rated by stars but considering the price it is between 4.5-5 , so we expected adequate service. According to ***********, the hotel is 50 m from the slopes - actually from a baby lift, to go skiing you need to take a bus - the station is next to the hotel. Our room was smallish but elegant, however there was no fridge, no tea maker( as stated in description on ***********) and no toiletries - but for cheap shower gel in dispenser. Breakfast ok - starting officially at 7.30, but eggs available only 20 minutes later. Dinner - meat dishes very good,first courses always fancily arranged,but often lacking taste. As for the service - yes,they do ask after every course how it was, but it felt it was something they were taught to do and were not really interested in your answer.

Schöne Tage in den Bergen Wir haben 6 Tage in dem schönen Hotel verbracht und kommen gerne wieder. Die Zimmer waren schön und sehr geräumig. Der Holzbalkon war zwar zur Straße aber sehr gemütlich und hat wunderbar nach Holz gerochen. Parkplätze sind zwar Mangelware aber man findet immer einen in der Gegend. Die Tiefgarage ist für große Fahrzeuge etwas „spannend“. Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service sehr freundlich! Dankeschön! Leider hat die Bar etwas früh geschlossen.

Super nettes Personal, tolle Lage und alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Ganz einfach so wie ein 4,5 sterne hotel sein soll. Einziger negativpunkt: zu wenig Platz in der Tiefgarage.
