"Delicious fresh food, great location. It's a shame the breakfast room wasn't cleaned – 10 minutes after breakfast began, food could be found on the floor, indicating it hadn't been cleaned the previous day. The rooms weren't cleaned properly, even before guests arrived – dirt, sand, stones, and dead insects under the beds, trash in the cupboard drawers, thick layers of dust on the windowsills and furniture – including the leather ones. After three days, garbage was no longer taken out from the hallway and bathroom trash bins. Dirty towels were left on the floor, even though fresh ones were placed on the bed. The bathroom wasn't cleaned, and dirty dishes, which were supposed to be available in the rooms, weren't replaced. The terrace was filthy – the tables, chairs, and floor were filthy with bird droppings, mud from bird nests, and cigarette butts, with ashtrays left unemptied. When the broken hairdryer was removed, my makeup bag was covered in dust/plaster. We were here for the third time, as the previous two times we had very fond memories of the service. This time, it's hard to say anything positive. On the first day, I asked for the blinds in the upper windows to be opened. The manager promised to take care of it immediately, but for seven days, they didn't. Previously, the staff greeted guests with a smile at every meal and asked if everything was okay. Now, they just kept their faces grim, with no "good morning." At breakfast, they even cleared plates mid-meal even though guests kept insisting they were still eating. On other occasions, dirty plates waited for half an hour to be removed from vacated tables. We didn't receive a Broumovko region guest card, despite the hotel's website's promise. There's no information on how to get into the hotel after the restaurant closes. Sadly, I can only recommend this hotel with such service."

"I honestly don't know where the 4 star rating came from. The hotel is charming and is somewhere between being vintage and simply being outdated, but it's definitely not more than 3 stars. The room was clean but very average, the windows are not sound proof, so we could hear every single conversation on the street and the breakfast was just bad. Dry buns, watery coffee, dried out cucumbers. The staff was friendly. We will not be back. "

"This hotel is quite disappointing. On the one hand, the hotel lobby and restaurant are beautifully restored in the original Art Deco style. And the food in the restaurant was decent. The hotel experience itself, however, is quite poor. Rooms are shabby and tired. Carpet stained and torn in the hallways. Door to the room cheaply made, and furniture in the room very generic and cheap. To top off the cheapness, the instant coffee that was provided on the first day was not replenished on the second day (we stayed for two nights). We thought it was a mistake, and called downstairs, when we were told that the guests only receive the little coffee packets on the first night. How cheap is that??? Honestly, don’t recall any hotel ever in my life having such a policy. It would cost, at most fifty cents to provide the instant coffee, but somehow this ridiculous cost-cutting measure and making the hotel guests unhappy is worth it to the hotel."

The very next day, I informed a receptionist (a pleasant woman wearing glasses), who told me that the hotel was fully booked for the weekend and suggested I renew my request later. At the end of the weekend, seeing that many guests had left, I reiterated my request to another receptionist. She replied with contempt and sarcasm: "If you don't want this room, why should it be given to another guest?" — a shocking and disrespectful remark. I was hurt by this lack of consideration. Faced with this attitude, I decided to shorten my stay by one day, even though it had been fully paid for. This situation is unacceptable. - Lack of professionalism and tact from the reception staff: The cold and dismissive attitude of some staff members made my experience unpleasant, revealing a worrying lack of professionalism and consideration for customers."
