Upon arriving at the All-Inclusive Emporio Hotel, right on the beach, I had a good first impression. A gate at the entrance was cleared before the bus could go down to the front entrance. This made me feel safe as I was a solo traveller. I was greeted by the staff and directed to the front desk. There were two employees checking in the guests. Although friendly, they could not speak much English which I found strange at a reception desk. It did not take long before I was checked into my room on the 8th floor. My room faced the market rather than beach. This turned out to be a blessing as it was quieter I think than facing the other way. The room was clean and had all the necessary items to stay including comfy beds. However, it was dated and I think some upgrades to the room would be good. Wifi is available in your room and throughout the hotel. This is a smaller hotel in the scheme of things. One large pool with a side pool for kids and a hot tub and a pool bar. The lobby was divided into two, one side had a lobby bar with tables and chairs which were very well worn. A big white wall was used to show movies and/or where there was a large platform for entertainment. The other side of the lobby was updated and had big, comfy chairs. Obviously this side was updated. In the evening, the entertainment was lacking pizazz which was in the lobby. There was a solo singer starting around 9 pm. I stuck close to the hotel in the evening as I was alone and this entertainment didn't keep me inspired. Although good, I was looking for more. The restaurants and main Condimento where most ate their three meals a day, served good food. But I really enjoyed the Italian restaurant Arrecife-so delicious! There is also a BBQ restaurant in front of the beach. The Arrecife and BBQ restaurants need to have reservations on the day you plan to go. The fabulous beach is right there to enjoy. So nice to have great weather every day and enjoy tours offered in the lobby. I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is a great location and right across the street from the market. If you are looking for a Mexican feel, then this is the place. Brush up on your Spanish :) I have been to Ixtapa many times in the past. This time I saw some good changes: no smoking in most places, no loud music on the beach, security everywhere so I always felt safe. I can't wait to go again.

Because it’s mainly all in and we were on self catering, we found it annoying that the bar/kitchen were not open at reasonable times. The biggest issue is the location. It’s across from stoney beach not good for sunbathing and is a good walk from the end of the pine walk. We felt it was too dangerous to walk with a buggy at night time as no lighting so always factored in the time for the walk to the port and better beach. The bus is right there at the entrance and was very easy to use. Spa was lovely.

Should you visit Acapulco (highly recommend!) do stay at the Mirador: it is clean, it is secure, the staff are lovely and helpful, and you can sit in the lobby or one of its restaurants and watch the famous cliff divers of Acapulco to your heart’s content. Our room was dated but clean - beds were comfortable, air-con worked well, shower was ok, basic toiletries included (soap bar, shampoo), 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel. No coffee in the room as other reviews have mentioned - but based on stays in other hotels in Mexico I don’t think it’s a thing here. The swimming pool was clean and we had it to ourselves. (There are a number of steps down to it but the hotel sits on a cliff after all). We had dinner in the restaurant one night and the food and service were very good. Cheaper options are available nearby but you don’t get the incredible view over the sea and of the amazing cliff! Breakfast is worth it - plentiful food and coffee. Part of this experience is the nostalgia - the Mirador used to attract the famous and has served as a filming location. Doubtless there are newer, smarter places to stay in Acapulco. But this place has history and soul. Sure it’s seen better days, but haven’t most of us?

대양을 바라보며 눈을 뜨고 , 수영을 할 수 있는 곳, 침구가 포근하고 특히 베개는 다녀본 호텔 중에서 개인적으로 가장 마음에 들었어요. 종업원들은 모두 하나같이 친절 했고, 음식도 훌륭해서 만족 스러웠습니다. 아름 다운 자연과 울창한 나무들 사이로 난 길로 이른 아침 산책하는 즐거움도 있었고요 객실내 비치 품목 중, 모기 퇴치제, 모기약 스프레이와 전기 모기향까지 구비되어 있어서 좋았는데, 그만큼 모기와 무는 벌레들이 많았다는….ㅠ 해서, 바깥 풀장에서 수영을 할 때도 스프레이 뿌리며 매우 조심해야했지만, 요청하면 안 밖으로 소독을 해 주셔서 한결 편히 지낼 수 있었어요. 한가지 아쉬웠던 점은…. 실내화가 구비되어 있었지만, 다른 호텔은 비닐 포장상태로 새것임을 알 수 있으나, 이곳에서는 누가 전에 신었던 것인지.. 아니면 새 실내화인지.. 구분할 수 없어서 아쉬웠어요. 앞으로는 소독하고 포장완료된 상태로 준비되어 있으면 좋겠다는 생각을 해 봤습니다. 특별히… 종업원들은 모두들 무척 친절 했었는데, 4박 5일 동안, 객실 청소를 담당해 주었던. Martha 와 식당을 추천해주고 예약을 맡아 해 주었던 Karla 에게 감사와 칭찬을 보내고 싶습니다. 다음에도 다시 방문하고 싶은 곳, 추천합니다.

This was a terrific place to stay especially if you want to soak up some Mexican holiday culture. The hotel is well organised and comfortable and right on the beach. We opted for a sea view room and we got a lovely large room with a big terrace right on the beach. The room is basic but the beds were comfy and clean, the air con and tv worked a treat and we felt we well got our moneys worth at about $80AUD per night. Plenty of things to do nearby - we caught a glass bottom boat to the island where we had some delicious oysters. Local food options a plenty nearby and the local bus is only 10 pesos per ride and quite the experience! The staff are super friendly and helpful and patient about us having limited Spanish. We were stuck on our last day as we had checkout at 12 and our bus out not til 10:30 at night - no problem! Please store your luggage here and enjoy the pool and beach til you need to go - what a relief! I would highly recommend the Hotel Acamar at Playa Caleta.

It’s across from stoney beach not good for sunbathing and is a good walk from the end of the pine walk. We felt it was too dangerous to walk with a buggy at night time as no lighting so always factored in the time for the walk to the port and better beach. The bus is right there at the entrance and was very easy to use. Spa was lovely.

The beach and the pool were the best part of the hotel and to feel the ocean water, and walking in the early morning and the from Monday seeing the Dolphins and watching the show and enjoying every bit of it, Overall the trip felt super nice to relax. The hotels sounded great on the add however upon arrival we were told that an accident happened in our room! They told ne that a cleaning person had accidentalky dropped a bottles of cloro on the floor. I was told it was going to get cleaned up. My wife if very sensitivo to strong smells so I asked if the case was that the smell was too much if I could get moved to another room. I was told that wasn't possible. I was told it wouldn't be smelly. When we go to our room, it didn't smell like clorox, I assume that the room was simply not ready. Being honest about that woukd have avoided issues. Also the room smelled like mold very badly. We requested a room change and I was told I needed to pay. It's supposed to be an all inclusive hotel and it's less than all inclusive other than the food. The amenities like bike ride, kayak, etc has an extra cost unless the reservation has been made via a timeshare. When making reservations for the bikes, the amount of miscommunication between reps was incredible. To the point that we missed the ride twice. It was just dumb. The hotel is very run down and needs maintenance. By far not the best for thw price. I will not be coming back ever. For an all inclusive hotel go somewhere truly all inclusive.

Recommended by a friend, I was convinced it was a nice destination and hotel but we were so greatly surprised when we arrived. The front desk team was amazing and quickly resolved a misunderstanding (thanks, Bruno!) and everything else was just lovely. The Beach Suite 6 is the best you can get if you want direct access to the beach. 100% recommended! Can’t wait to go back.
