Beautiful Contemporary brick home on 1.93 park-like acres including mature hardwoods. Squeaky cleaned to protect from Covid-19 according to CDC guidelines. Cathedral ceilings with massive solid wood beams. Front windows to ceiling to enjoy stunning views of Blue Ridge Mountains--also viewed from large bay window in dining room. Comfortable with new furniture, mattresses and bedding throughout house. Also, updated HVAC heat and air conditioning upstairs. Electric heat downstairs. Cozy propane fireplace in living room. Upstairs has 3 lovely bedrooms and oak floors throughout and two nicely renovated full baths--master bedroom bath with shower and hall bath with tub and shower. Spacious, newly renovated kitchen with stainless appliances, including new dishwasher and electric glass top range with convection oven feature. Large solid oak dining table seats 6 and counter height table in kitchen seats 4. Fun family room in basement with plenty of comfy seating, pool table, satellite TV, small refrigerator, and nice desk to work from. Also, renovated 1/2 bath, laundry room, and another room with table tennis, electronic stationary bicycle, and another work desk. Outside, fabulous landscaping in a private, park-like setting with mature hardwoods, large evergreens, boxwoods, shrubs, flowers, all surrounding a lovely, cozy gazebo, from which you can enjoy steaming coffee while you admire the view of the Blue Ridge. Enjoy grilling out on the slate patio beside the wood deck in the peaceful atmosphere. Prepare to be awed by the geological wonders at the Natural Bridge and Caverns (deepest on the East Coast) at the Natural Bridge State Park, only 1 short mile away. A little over a mile from the Park, visit the Natural Bridge Zoo for animal education. See their video on www.naturalbridgezoo.com. Across the road, the wacky Dinosaur Kingdom II for great family fun. It's a strange combination of history and prehistory. Website at dinosaurkingdomii.com. Head north again on US Route 11 another 3.1 miles and find the Virginia Safari Park. Their website shows their many attractions and also, hours and rates on www.virginiasafaripark.com. Check out the penguin pool, tiger territory, petting area, walk-through free-flight aviary, and kangaroo area. Practically, across the road is the Pink Cadillac Diner where you can travel back to a simpler time when Elvis was king! You can't miss the authentic "Pink Cadillac" parked by the side of the road. This is also a favorite of the locals. Then only a hop and skip from the restaurant is Halcyon Days Cider Co. and the Great Valley Farm Brewery Co. Check out their websites for these relaxing, beautiful, and special places to chill, on halcyondayscider.com and greatvalleyfarmbrewery.com. Did I forget to mention the Natural Bridge Speedway on Dry Well Road just minutes away? See their website for special events at www.nbspeedway.com. Swimming and fishing are available at Cave Mountain Lake only 11 minutes away in Arnolds Valley. Also there, hike the trails and see the Devils Marbleyard. Yurt at Stillhouse Farm offers a unique place to stay in a private setting, less than 5 miles from W&L and VMI campuses. The yurt is facing a spring fed creek which can be heard from the deck along with owls, turkey, and other wildlife. Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. An outdoor fireplace on the patio that's right off the yurt deck with plenty of firewood provided. Also, a larger fire pit closer to the creek to enjoy a larger fire. We raise sheep, cattle, and chickens. No neighbors, including host, in sight or sound. High speed internet makes for an ideal getaway where you can still work, if necessary. 우리는 수년 동안 조용한 휴가를 위해 Peaks of Otter Lodge를 좋아했습니다. 방은 좋은 편의 시설로 매우 편안했습니다. 우리는 '1980년대와 '90년대에 Lodge가 숙박 가격에 포함된 아침과 저녁 식사가 포함된 겨울 특별 행사를 제공했을 때 처음 오기 시작했습니다. 당시 롯지 레스토랑의 음식은 현장에서 준비하고 요리되었으며, 레스토랑은 훌륭한 음식으로 매우 인기가 있었고 지역 주변에서 잘 알려졌습니다. 그러나 최근 몇 년 동안 레스토랑의 소유권이 바뀌었고 음식은 결코 같지 않았습니다. 음식은 미리 포장되어 식당에서 가열된 것 같은 맛이 나며, 메뉴 가격은 제공되는 음식의 품질에 비해 매우 높습니다. 수준 이하의 음식에도 불구하고 대기 직원은 훌륭했고 식당은 호수와 Sharp Top Mountain의 아름다운 전망을 제공합니다. 전반적으로, 아름다운 환경에서 평화로운 휴식을 원하신다면 롯지에 머무르는 것이 좋습니다. 그러나 식사를 위해 인근 마을인 Bedford까지 15분 여행을 하고 싶을 수도 있습니다.
