Here at the Hideaway you have your own private porch with outdoor table and chairs. Plus 2 recliner chairs. Your private entrance has a security digital lock that you get the code sent to you the morning of your arrival. There is an outside grilling area that is available for cooking your meals. Along with the smoker/charcoal grill there is a 2 burner Coleman propane stove for cooking too. Inside there is a microwave and toaster. For entertainment there is a 32" TV (only local channels available) and DVD player with a small assortment of DVD's to watch. Several of the movies were made right here at Caddo Lake. The bathroom is rather large and spacious and there are plenty of extra towels in the bathroom cabinet. Even though it is attached to the main structure it is totally secluded with its own private porch and entrance and you will have no contact with anyone if that's your preference. Everything here at the Hideaway is all yours and nobody else is around, just total privacy for you and yours! But we are nearby and available anytime if needed. The cabin is great for 2 adults but can accommodate a max of 3 persons. We recommend a minimum age of 13 for all cabin guests. For more info on all we have to offer can be found on our website. It is conveniently located on Pine Island Pond, a quiet inlet off the main river and home to some of the best fishing and kayaking on the lake, 2 miles from Big Pines Lodge, Caddo Lake State Park, and Uncertain. It is a short 20 minute drive from both Marshall and historic Jefferson, TX to enjoy antiquing, historical homes, and abundant restaurants. Our wonderful property offers an incredible screened in porch with amazing views, and a quiet and peaceful atmosphere that will make guests feel right at home. With 1 king bed (with soaking tub!), 2 queen beds, and 1 set of bunk beds, there is plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind. For your convenience, we can offer the use of our freight elevator for luggage as well as those in need of mobility assistance, pending a signed release form. One of a kind retreat for small families, a romantic get away for two, or fishing/hunting lodge. This property is built over Big Cypress Bayou river which is 3.3 miles from CADDO Lake, 10 minutes from Historic Jefferson, 20 minutes from old money oil town of Marshall, AND 30 minutes from the wide awake Casino town of Shreveport, LA.The River House is on a private road which lends to peace and tranquility. Great access to the river for amazing water skiing, jet skiing, and boating awaits. If you're not into water sports, fish all day right off the covered deck. If you have a boat, there is a ramp within 100 yards of the house, and lots of great little fishing holes along the river and back into the cypress forest.The River House has an outdoor grill.
