Nestled at the base of Goat Mountain and on the edge of town, this 4 bedroom, 3 bath home is the Greatest Of All Time Desert Experience - the quintessential desert retreat. The vast expanse of uninhabited Mojave Desert lands to the north instills feelings that the desert is truly yours alone. Upon entry into the property through the automatic gate, guests will have access to the entire 4.5-acre property. Fully enclosed with a fence for your safety and security.The spaceSLEEPING:The home offers accommodation for up to 10 people, with a queen bed in the spacious master suite, a queen bed in the junior suite and two twin beds in each of the two additional bedrooms. Two roll-out twin beds are also available. The home features three full restrooms: one in the master suite, one in the junior suit and one next to the family room. Fall in love with peaceful quiet, beautiful desert landscapes, gorgeous sunsets, stunning starry skies, and of course the moon. @moonsetranch is a place to relax and reset. A place to discover new things about the world and about oneself.Located within minutes of The Integratron, Giant Rock and La Copine as well as a short 25-minute drive to downtown Joshua Tree and the west entrance of the national park, Moonset Ranch is the prefect desert escape.THE SPACEThe main cabin is about 650 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. You'll have the entire cabin and 2 1/2 fully fenced acres all to yourself. There is another house on the property but it currently sits empty and is not being rented out. The house comfortably sleeps 4 guests but you can squeeze in 6 if you share the beds! The orange bedroom and the red bedroom both have queen beds. The couch is very long and comfortable to sleep on (I'm 6' 3" and I fit!). There is also an air mattress kept under the couch. The bathroom includes a washer and dryer. Enjoy the living room with a fully functioning record player, bluetooth speakers and TV with Roku player. The recently remodeled kitchen features a handcrafted high top dinner table for extra counter space and a huge farmhouse sink. There is lots of outdoor space to enjoy. The back patio features a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal please). Outdoor games include corn hole, bocce ball and a horseshoe pit. The front porch has a gas fireplace for you to enjoy (propane included).ACCESSMy property is about 15 minutes from Yucca Valley and 25 minutes from the Joshua Tree National Park Welcome Center. Access to the house is via a dirt road but it is only about a half mile off a very nicely paved road. Except in pouring rain or snow, any type of car should have no trouble accessing the property. There is plenty of parking (2.5 acres of it haha!). I have a lockbox with keys in it. You'll receive an access code the day of your check in.OTHER NOTES**Now with Starlink as of April 2025! Work remote with super fast internet speeds of over 100 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up.I have a wood burning stove inside but it is not currently available for use as it needs inspection and repair.In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the house is equipped with three exterior cameras. Driving to cabin entails 3 miles of dirt road.Spy Mountain Hideout is neighbor to White Horse Movie Ranch (please do not disturb), under 3 miles from the historical Giant Rock riding area, less than 5 miles from Integratron, approximately 20 miles to the famous Pioneertown movie set and Pappy & Harriet's, and about 25 miles from Joshua Tree National Park entrance. The Yucca Escape is tucked away in a secluded area surrounded by endless panoramic views of the desert. It is a romantic and quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of a big city. The house is comfortable and enjoyable no matter the season. The house is well-crafted and thoughtfully curated. Each bedroom is uniquely furnished to blend in with the landscape of the desert. Each bedroom comes with an oversized king bed made for relaxing and sleeping in. Each bedroom also has a full closet to store your belongings in, including a couple of robes for your comfort. Welcome in the serenity of the desert by opening the modern folding door in the living room and inviting the outdoors in. Turn on the neon sign above the door to create a dreamy vibe and use the vintage-inspired record player to fill the house with music. The living room is also equipped with a 50 inch TV which is perfect for enjoying movies or an exciting game. You will also find a variety of board games to play during your stay. Enjoy the ever-changing colors of the desert landscape while enjoying a meal on the rustic wooden table in the outdoor dining area. The patio also has a calming and cozy swing chair that is great for sitting in while sipping on a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The jacuzzi area is an oasis for relaxation amidst the seasons of the desert. For the colder months, the Jacuzzi is the perfect place to soak with bubbling jets for maximum rejuvenation. During the hotter months, the Jacuzzi area is ideal for unwinding after a day of exploring and getting a unique view of the stars and the milky way. Renee was very friendly. Bed was very comfy. Hand soap smelled good and I bought 2 with me. The Western cowboy feel in the room design is one of a kind in the area. A little expensive but worth the experience. Hammock outside was just so comfy as well, good for star gazing at night. To make sure you enjoy your desert trip (including this expensive stay), make sure you check the weather before staying and book early if possible. If it’s scorching weather, your outdoor activities could be limited.
