We face the Big Wood River, with great fishing year 'round. And we're just a short walk to town, the bike path, and Bald Mountain -- Sun Valley's premier peak with great winter skiing. Our authentic, beautifully preserved log home has been completely remodeled: two bedrooms and two baths upstairs and a large master bedroom and bath downstairs. But, we’ve retained the original log-cabin look of the original house. We were in love with the house when we first saw it; we love it even more after our extensive and careful remodeling. And, we’ve attempted to bring inside some of the outside that is historic Ketchum, the Ketchum we love. The kitchen’s hickory cabinets blend with the color of the logs of the outer walls. The white tile reflects the snow in season, while the forest green grouting and other green accent colors — like the green leather and upholstery in the living room — reflect the evergreens and grass of the spring and summer.In keeping with our affection for the house, which we want to share with you, you will find a number of fragile wood carvings — of fish, beaver, raccoon, and bear — that we commissioned a Montana artist to create. We had another artist capture the feeling of Idaho in oil paintings you’ll find displayed in the living room, the master bedroom, and the hallway. The house is light and sunny; windows overlook the yard and the Big Wood River. It’s not a very large home; very few homes in this area, many 70 years old and even older, are not large … at least by today’s standards. But our house is charming and cozy.The house comfortably sleeps 6 in beds. In special cases we can accommodate up to 8 people (please inquire if interested).We love dogs — I am privileged to own two adorable Goldens myself — and have designed the house to accommodate the needs and safety of our four-legged friends. Welcome to our Very cozy 2 Bedroom, 2 1/2 Bath Townhome with an AMAZING location in West Ketchum. We are only an eight minute scenic walk from River Run Lodge, 2 blocks from the bike path, and just over a half mile away from all that Downtown Ketchum has to offer.The kitchen has an electric stovetop, microwave, dishwasher. The drawers and cupboards contain all the gadgets you might need for cooking and baking. You are welcome to use the sugar, flour, spices, and condiments in the cupboard and fridge.The Master and Guest bedrooms are on the main level, have comfy queen size beds, each with a dresser and closet. The master bathroom and guest bathroom both have heated floors, marble countertops and glass shower.The Living area is newly carpeted and well furnished, with incredible views of Bald Mountain. There is a lovely small deck that extends off of the living area. There is a Smart TV in this area. (non functioning) Fireplace as well.Laundry room with washer and dryer is located in lower level.We would love to host you, please feel free to send us a message with any questions you may have.Recommended dining and activity lists provided upon request. Built 2005. Sonos stereo throughout. Air conditioned and 1,000 mbps wifi internet.Junior King suite on main (second) floor with large bathroom, walk-in closet and tub off of great room/kitchen. Master King suite third floor with large walk-in closet, tub, views, gas fireplace and separate loft/office space with desk. Printer/scanner and monitor with VGA & HDMI input available for guest use. Ground floor bunk room perfect for kids and families has two bunk bed sets (one full sized bunk set and one twin sized bunk set-4 total beds). Full bathroom with double sink and separate toilet/shower room just outside bunk room. Bedroom/Den with queen sized pull out couch and en suite bathroom.
