We were visiting friends in the Mt Dora area and they told us to try this historic beauty. The building was lovely. Staff was welcoming and efficient. The room was fine for an old structure with beautiful decor. Unfortunately, the floor in our room along with the bed and even the sink faucets were squeaky which got annoying. I guess old allows squeaky but it got annoying. We did not try the restaurant because we were visiting our friends but it looked lovely and you could dine indoors or on their front porch with a view of Lake Dora. We would stay here again on a future visit. Only reason for my 4 rating was the squeaks but probably no way around that on a wood structure this old,

Mount Dora hosts many different daily activities for you and the family from festivals, markets, segway tours, boat tours (day or night) on the chain of lakes, catboat rentals, walking paths, bike trails and boating rentals, all within minutes to you. We have ghost tours as well as a wonderful taste of the town tour which can be private to your own group or alongside new people. Perfect for a fun girls trip, milestone birthday getaways, wedding parties and more. Our 1185 sq ft apartment has recent updates in 2024 to give all guests the home away from home feel with cozy feel.The Water View retreat property ready to charm its guests. The condos are located in the heart of downtown Mount Dora, FL. These beautifully furnished upstairs suites are a place to relax and enjoy a weekend, week or month. The Alex offers a King, master bedroom and a small guest room with a bunk bed. A full kitchen and great room concept with eating area. A small balcony so you can sit outside in the morning and enjoy your coffee and morning paper or people watch in the evening! There is lots to enjoy being directly downtown. You can walk to have a glass of wine and enjoy a nice dinner then take a stroll around town and make your way back or maybe opt to take a horse and buggy ride, Segway tour or ghost walk. This condo is in the heart of the entertainment district so there is sometimes music playing at night. Service was great, they allowed me to check in hrs early. After working the night before, I was very tired and had a sire knee I needed to get off of. I was extremely grateful when the clerk said I could check in early. Thank you choice inn for looking out for me, I appreciate you, and Mt Dora's clerk in particular.
