Located between Karatagama town and Yala National Park Karatagama gate, much quieter than other park gates. Essentially equipped room, clean and well maintained swimming pool. Breakfast and Dinner is decent and properly prepared. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Nos atendieron increíble, el lodge está muy cerca de una de las entradas al safari. Tiene piscina y mis hijos gozaron ahí. Además los pavos reales se acercan y es todo un espectáculo.  Podrían mejorar un poco la ducha pero no es un punto que opaque la buena experiencia.

언덕 숲 오두막에서 멋진 숙박. Ella의 메인 스트리트에서 꽤 떨어져 있으며 tuk tuk는 매우 위험하기 때문에 언덕을 운전하는 것을 좋아하지 않습니다. 그렇게 말해서, 객실은 아름답고, 전망은 훌륭하고 음식은 맛있습니다!

리리뷰어Приехали уставшими и не в духе, но нас так душевно встретили, что настроение поднялось сразу. Хозяева напоили чаем, пообщались по-домашнему – чувствуешь себя не клиентом, а желанным гостем. Отель на вершине горы, и из каждого номера – выход на террасу с потрясающим видом. Утром просыпаешься – а перед тобой только горы и тишина. Номер чистый, уютный, всё продумано до мелочей. Завтрак готовили специально под наши предпочтения: свежие фрукты, яичница, тосты, даже смузи! Персонал не формально вежливый, а по-настоящему добрый. Если хотите не просто переночевать, а почувствовать заботу и отдохнуть душой – это точно ваше место. Хочется вернуться снова и всем рекомендовать. Огромное спасибо хозяевам за такую атмосферу!

MMaso Maso (Maso)This was one of my best stays in Sri Lanka. The only thing I could fault the place for, was the water pressure was not very good. I know serious world problems right. As a frequent world traveler I look for clean/safe/valuable for money accommodation, with a comfortable bed, hot shower, working AC for the hot climates and good Wi Fi. This place ticked all those boxes and some. Great hosts and you have the option of paying the extra for a home cooked meal, which was tasty and plentiful. It is located in a very quiet serene part of Ella and you will either be faced with a short drive into the Ella township or an approx 20min walk. The hosts went out of their way to ensure a great stay, helped with luggage up the steep stairs to the accommodation and bought some required items, when the host went into town. Pics shown stairs leading up to the accommodation, so definitively not wheel chair friendly. Another pic shows the evening meal. We also opted for the host to provide breakfast and it was just as good and affordable.

JJimmysandwichesWe had a lovely stay at Ella Rawana Den Hotel in Ella. The location is excellent — just a short walk to town, making it very convenient for restaurants, cafes and exploring the area. One of the highlights was the beautiful balcony view overlooking the lush green hills. It was the perfect place to relax in the morning or evening. The room was big, clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. However, it’s important for older guests or anyone with mobility issues to know that the hotel is located up a very steep hill. Cars and tuk-tuks cannot access the property directly, so you need to walk up, which can be challenging — especially with heavy luggage. Because of this, it may not be suitable for elderly or disabled travellers. One small improvement would be for the hotel to provide a hairdryer in the rooms, as this would be very helpful for female guests. Overall, a great stay with beautiful views and kind staff — just be prepared for the steep climb!

FFabio’s CocoonUn séjour agréable avec une belle terrasse, mais plusieurs points à améliorer Nous avons séjourné au Mount Crest à Ella. La chambre était fonctionnelle, propre, avec des lits confortables, ce qui est très appréciable. En revanche, l’espace était assez restreint, et il n’y avait pas vraiment de place pour poser nos affaires, ce qui rendait l’organisation un peu compliquée. La salle de bain était propre mais l’eau de la douche arrivait en simple filet, ce qui n’est pas idéal. À l’extérieur, en revanche, c’était un vrai plaisir : une belle terrasse, du soleil, un hamac parfait pour se détendre et profiter du calme de la nature autour. La propriétaire et sa fille sont adorables, très présentes, chaleureuses et serviables. Leur gentillesse a vraiment marqué notre séjour. Côté rapport qualité-prix, c’est excellent pour ce que c’est : simple, propre, bien situé et abordable. Quelques points négatifs tout de même : – L’odeur de cigarette provenant des gens qui fument dans les couloirs peut entrer dans la chambre selon le vent. – L’insonorisation est très faible : on entend clairement les gens parler et rentrer la nuit dans les couloirs, ce qui peut perturber le sommeil. – L’endroit n’est pas forcément très accessible si vous recherchez beaucoup de confort ou d’espace. Dans l’ensemble, un séjour correct, avec un accueil exceptionnel, une terrasse agréable, un bon rapport qualité-prix, mais certaines améliorations permettraient de rendre l’expérience plus confortable.
