익익명 사용자In general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights.
Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building.
* Location & Transportation
Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum.
And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price.
In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes
Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones.
Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it.
* Building and room conditions
Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room.
It is quite convenient a washstand in each room.
However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler.
It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel.
* Cleanness & Safety
Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this.
* Services
There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water.
Wifi is too weak to use the internet.
Other services like laundry are satisfied.
* Others
During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally.
In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better.
And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable.
Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.

리리뷰어늦은 시간에도 꼼꼼하게 응대해주셔서 정말 감사했습니다. 이집트라고는 믿기지 않을 정도로 깨끗하고 즐거운 시간을 보내고 싶었는데, 지금 진행 중인 것을... 산 지 벌써 일주일이 지났어요! 산 이후로 계속 멀리 떨어져 있었어요.

훌륭함
리리뷰어호텔은 주요 도로가 아닌 약간 숨겨져 있습니다. 택시는 외부에만 주차할 수 있으며 안으로 들어가야 합니다. 문도 비교적 작습니다.
호텔의 엘리베이터는 꽤 독특하고 고풍스러운 느낌이 들고 꽤 재미 있습니다.
방은 상대적으로 크지만 배치가 불합리합니다. 목욕물은 그다지 크지 않습니다. 게다가 화장실과 욕실이 함께있어 목욕 후 매우 춥습니다.

리리뷰어When we arrived, it was a little difficult to find the building, because there was no sign of Lucky Hostel in the lobby. However a very persistent man outside, insisted that the building with sign “El otel”, is the correct building. We trust him and we entered. Another problem, it looked like to use the elevator to 4th floor, we must have access card. We wait for about 5 minutes and fortunately there was a man came down, and we asked his help to tap on the elevator using his card. Other than that, my husband & I were happy to stay in this hostel. Our room was so big and with sofa too!! Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Hot shower was very pleasant in cold morning. And we were very happy that the staff allow us to put our luggage while we were away to Luxor. We stay for total of 4 nights and we were allowed again to put our luggage while we went shopping, because our flight was in the middle of the night.

AAnatolii1303오래된 저택에 있는 아주 아름다운 호스텔입니다. 5미터 높이의 천장, 넓은 객실, 아름다운 공용 공간까지 갖추고 있습니다. 125파운드에 맛있는 이집트식 아침 식사를 즐길 수 있습니다. 여러 개의 주방과 샤워 시설이 있습니다. 타흐리르 광장까지 걸어갈 수 있는 거리에 있습니다. 강력 추천합니다.

IImpulsive TravellerThe location is at city center nearby to Egyptian Museum. Plenty of amenities within 10 minutes walk. The famed Koshary Abu Tarek is within 6 minutes walk. The rooms are well maintained. There is a staff at the reception 24/7. Guests of all ages and nationalities can be accomodated.
Suggestion for improvement:
1. The towels to be issued upon check-in and not upon request.
2. The lift need to be upgraded as I was ever caught inside when there is a power trip. And often the lift did not operate because the lift door was not closed properly. Understand that the lift is not manage by your hostel. Please request for it from the building owner as it is not acceptable.
3. Consider centralized air condition system. Anyone can turn off the air conditioner affecting others.

The facility is okay - The place is quite old but clean.
The hotel staff here are very nice especially Mr Anas he was quite energetic and really looking forward to service + friendly
I didn't expect that he was invites me to the lunch together with them
** note** for someone who cannot sleep with the noise - the hotel is quite close to the Egyptian Street which is always honking the horn.
Solution ** ust bring an earplug ( The one that you would receive on in airplane ) and everything's gonna be fine
In conclusion this hotel is reasonably priced for this quality. if you don't expect for something luxury but friendly , This hotel could be your choice

리리뷰어번화가와 가깝기 때문에 입지는 좋습니다. 건물은 언뜻보기에 알기 어려울지도. 가격에 비해 깨끗하고 방도 넓었습니다. 직원도 친절합니다. 옥상에서 카이로의 전망을 한눈에 볼 수 있습니다.
또한 건물의 한 부분에 있는 호텔에서 엘리베이터로 입구까지 올라야 하고, 그 엘리베이터가 일본과 다른 타입이므로 처음에는 놀랍지만 이것도 경험이라고 생각하면 재미있습니다. 평판대로 일본인에게도 추천할 수 있는 호텔이라고 생각합니다.

체크아웃할때도 4층으로 가니까 2층에서 올라와서 함
실제 숙박은 Elevana Boutique hotel 이었고
시설 좋아서 만족
조식은 이틀 내내 시간없어서 안먹음
민감한사람은 도로 소리때문에 힘들수도?
본인은 잠 잘자는 편이라 타격 1도 없었음
다만, 와이파이를 제공했지만 인터넷 연결이 안되서
그거 하나 불편
