The harbour area boasts great eateries including Gisborne Wine Centre, The Works, The Wharf and Lone Star. Across the road from the Harbour area is the historic Blitz Surf Shop one of the first in New Zealand. The town beach has a great cycle and walkway linking beach and river. This is a lovely spacious villa which has been furnished and decorated with families or groups to enjoy.It is 5 minutes from Waikanae Beach or town and set in a quiet street. A short drive takes you to Wainui Beach. It is a great place from which to go on day trips to explore the East Coast. Outdoor living is a feature with a roomy verandah, equiped for outdoor dining, and a large, fully fenced back lawn with outdoor furniture and shady trees , which makes it safe and private for families.There is a large lounge and family room which make it ideal for families to share. The house has been used very satisfactorily for family groups celebrating family occasions or "get togethers" and for multiple family groups.The park is very near and has a children's playground. It is also a great spot to walk or cycle, scooter from with the paved river walk nearby or bush/hill walks within close proximity. The apartment is set in north facing private grounds with access to open areas and the Waimata river. Walking to a shopping area is 5 minutes and to the city 15, otherwise a short drive or cycle. The living room is spacious and incorporates a cooking area and a bed settee (if required). The cooking area while not a full kitchen is designed and enables a full range of hot meals to be prepared (double hotplate, crockpots, microwave, fridge etc. ) and eaten (plates, cutlery etc.) The apartment is best suited to a couple as there is one double bedroom but there is capacity to accommodate up to two couples or 3 single guests with a double bed settee and a single fold down bed in the lounge. When booking can you please indicate if you need the extra beds made up. The bathroom and bedroom are separate from the living area. The floor area of the apartment is 66 m sq.Outside, making the most of the property's sunny aspect, is an enclosed kitchen bench for washing dishes etc. and close to that a BBQ and entertaining area. There is off street parking for a car with access to the apartment down a flight of stairs which is beneath the main residence.
