Distance from Plymouth train station to hotel is walkable only if u are fit and if it's not raining or super cold. Otherwise taxi ride is recommended. Everything in this hotel is good.

Big spacious room and close to city centre so ideal for shopping. Sainsbury's car park next door which you can register when you get into the hotel. Nice quiet rooms. A little dated but adequate for a night's sleep. Would stay again

The location is perfect if you don't want to be in Plymouth itself. We needed to be near Derriford and it was really easy to get to and find.
The hotel staff were really friendly and happy.
Rooms were huge and had plenty of space. Beds and Pillows were comfy.
The wallpaper is wearing a little and was starting to peel, but nothing major.
Really good value, considering it had breakfast included, and nicer than a PI.
Breakfast had plenty of choice and all very tasty, but plates weren't warmed which meant the food got cold very quickly as it wasn't particularly hot anyway. Coffee wasn't great.
Would definitely stay again if prices were competitive.

Located down it’s own private lane and tucked away, this is a quiet, beautiful, hidden away escape, yet is within 15 mins drive of the centre of Exeter - Devon’s capitol city.For a really good sense of the cottage inside and out, do watch the videoThe well equipped cottage provides amongst its many comforts: underfloor heating, a woodburner, Egyptian cotton bed linen, Range cooker, fast WiFi, two smart TV’s (one in the twin room) for streaming Netflix etc. and access to wonderful walks from the front door. You will be welcome to enjoy some of the main house’s incredible gardens which in turn access public footpaths which lead into seven square miles of forests.There is a fully enclosed private garden for your young children or four legged friend, along with a covered barn with table tennis and BBQ and outdoor tables and sun loungers. There is also a gym. Accommodation includes One Master with En suite shower room. Two further bedrooms, one twin and and with king size bed, all good sizes. There is also a substantial marble tiled family bathroom upstairs with double ended bath and separate luxury power shower. There is an additional bathroom downstairs so three in total.A wood burning stove with logs in the sitting room, a full kitchen with island and bar stools, separate dining room with underfloor heating, separate snug with desk area, and downstairs bathroom.There is an attached video which best shows all aspects of the cottagePoppy’s Cottage is newly renovated throughout and provides a warm welcoming space to relax in. We are delighted our guests so far have been so lovely about their stays and glad to see some returning. The house does offer a unique, secluded setting to unwind as a family, with total privacy and only the sounds of nature, along with access to the most stunning gardens. You are welcome to explore an additional 12 acres of our gardens and grounds with some unique plants and stunning floral displays.We know all the local farm shops, supplying meat, fish, vegetables, takeaway foods (even locally made Middle Eastern meals which are our favourite) local game pies and even seafood, all delivered to the door. Waitrose and Tescos, Sainsbury's all deliver here. This is a cottage to enjoy long walks, sun bathing if the weather allows, games, films, table tennis, wonderful meals, bird watching and even badger and deer spotting. I always try and book a pre Xmas stay somewhere, with my children . I came across Woodford Bridge on a booking site , and it seemed to offer great value for money so I thought why not. There are some positives and negatives which I ll list below.
Arrived on a dark and gloomy Tues evening, the roads are not particularly great , potholes galore in the area. In the dark its quite scary roads too, in the middle of nowhere !!
Check in was straightforward, nice friendly staff , however I found they have a tendency to talk amongst themselves and leave you waiting for too long before saying ” can I help you ”?
Apartment was very clean , modern and warm. Incredibly happy with the size of it. Easy location to the games room for my boys, which they enjoyed very much, the pool table and table tennis. However the lighting is not great around the steps , and also the warning paint on edges of steps have worn off , so I had to be very careful walking back to apt in the dark.
Used swimming facilities , nice , clean , quiet . The other facilities looked good .
Went to the pub on site one night. Lovely little place , although totally devoid of atmosphere, hopefully better at weekend when live music on. They definitely need something. Prices of wine extortionate 175ml for 7.25 .
I had to contact reception as the seal around the oven was coming off, did this in the morning before we went to atlantic village. On our return it was still hanging off, so had to contact reception again. Although I really liked the apt , there are a couple of improvements needed I feel. Firstly I could not find a chopping board or fish slice in the kitchen. As a single female with 2 children I also did nt feel safe as the apts can be accessed by anyone , there needs to be a key card reader on the entrance to the block , not just the apt door.
Overall , it was a nice enough stay but I Don t think we d return. Probably much nicer in the Summer , and more going on in the area

AAndyPPThe hotel and area was fantastic, however, service at the front desk and the restaurant was lacking.
We took a long weekend break and were excited to try the beach club, however our experience was dampened by the service.
Being made to stand around for 5 minutes, whilst being told we hadn't paid (when we had) was unnecessary and frankly embarrassing.
The restaurant was the most disappointing part of the stay.
I'm the evening service was slow, followed by having our order wrong twice and also dropped.
Breakfast at the restaurant was lacking compared to cheaper hotels that offer continental. Small selection , nothing outstanding. When we ordered a cooked breakfast, it took 30-40 minutes to receive some eggs and pancakes although the restaurant was fairly quiet.
However, the room, facilities, and the spa were fantastic. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. The beach club outside was gorgeous. The spa was perfect and treatments were, to quote my partner, 'one of the best massages of my life'.
We're unsure if we would come back. Although the facilities were great, the service was mostly subpar and not what we'd expect from a harbour hotel.

리리뷰어Very poor for parking, the steps of the area going for the car park are unsafe for women and children, as there are homeless men sleeping and youngsters smoking ***** in the area, car parking fees are very expensive at £10.90 for one day so I was there for six days, where Premier inn is only £6 90 for one day, on my arrival at the reception even though I was born in Torquay and lived there for 17 years but now living in Thailand I was asked for my passport and I can assure you I was not happy with,

리리뷰어Overall a great stay, receptionists were welcoming, although a little bit more effort could have gone into directing me to the room as the grounds are so big I got a little lost. On entering the building where my room was located the carpet definitely needs to be upgraded, my room was nice and clean. It had a sink, and an ironing board and iron which I was very impressed with, it also had two wardrobes one with a kettle on top and one with hangers inside. The grounds are lovely, the garden is spectacular, it would be a perfect setting for a wedding. The staff in White Hart are lovely and the customer service provided by them was great. (Two males) thank you. On the Friday they had a live band (male / female) singing the old classics for VE Day that was great. The food was also nice. I would defo stay here again.

리리뷰어The Palace Hotel was a delight to stay at. The rooms were warm, comfortable and clean. The staff were lovely and we were surprised to have evening entertainment. We went on a budget and were delighted with the hotel.
Only thing to add was the bathroom was a bit dated and could do with a new set, I understand having orgional features is nice, however, I think new would be better.
Also we were told breakfast would be £9.00 each on arrival, but when we went to pay it what a whopping £27.00 for a full English (1 of each item) amd some avocado and boiled egg on toast... of course we could have the continental... but it did make us cough a bit!! The service was great though.
Overall great stay would recommend and return.
