Church of Saint Nicholas of the Lorrains

A chapel full of history and details is located behind Navona Square near Raphael. The seventeenth century architecture and murals depict many important figures of the Roman period. There are many plaster and paintings by Nicolas Lorraine and other landscape artists at that time.

The black-and-white marble gives the building a great reflective effect, which is not a good building for lighting. The buildings on the edge of the square are also the best testing ground for many famous painters, including Nicholas. Most of the frescoes here show the peak of Italian creation in the 18th century, both in arch and dome structures.
