Our spacious and upscale villa is part of a 50-unit “Villas de Palermo” condo hotel in the hills of the resort town of San Juan del Sur. The breathtaking views of the ocean sunsets and other natural wonders defy description. For entertainment, amenities, and nightlife there are a wide variety of choices at very reasonable prices. The general atmosphere is relaxed and friendly to help make your vacation a pleasant and unique experience, whether you are with friends, spouses, or family.Optional adventure, nature, and sightseeing tours to nearby beaches are varied and plentiful. Fishing, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and other outdoor activities are available year-round. Whale sightings are most common in January and February. Massive arrivals of hundreds of sea turtles to lay their eggs in natural reserves beaches, as well as the subsequent spanning of thousands of baby turtles is an awesome experience of natural wonder you will remember forever. Our villa is spacious and fully equipped, including Inverter A/C (one unit in each room and one in the social area), Wi-Fi, and hot water. The social area has comfortable wooden furniture handcrafted by Nicaraguan artisans and opens to a terrace with a beautiful view of the town, surrounding mountains, and the beautiful curved bay that is an awesome sight at any time of the day or night. The dining area is adjacent to a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and full-size stainless steel appliances that includes a stove, refrigerator, and microwave, as well as pots, pans, silverware, and glassware service for 6 people. Each room has a Queen bed, a private full bathroom, and a walk-in closet. Bedrooms are on different levels, allowing maximum privacy for two couples. However, there are several sets of stairs that would be unsuitable for guests with mobility problems. (If you require accessibility for persons with disabilities, please let us know so we can consider options).The villas have 24-hour guarded security service, access is gate controlled and there is ample and convenient free parking within the grounds. The daily rates include FOUR to SIX guests (MAXIMUM PERMITTED) in two bedrooms. Babies and children under 12 years of age can be lodged at no extra charge. The hotel can provide additional beds or cots at a cost of $25 + tax each, per night. If you bring your own crib, cot, or sleeping bag, there would not be an additional cost.Electricity consumption during your stay is not included in the villa fee. You will be charged upon departure according to the metered consumption. If done responsibly, the cost of electricity should not be more than $10 per day. Villa Paraiso del Sur is made up of one main house, El Rancho, plus two separate cabin rooms. One of the biggest bonus of being located at a high elevation is that the temperature is a few degrees cooler than at sea level and we get a very nice breeze. All rooms have screens doors to keep the bugs out and that let the breeze off the Pacific Ocean in. El Rancho (main house)Made out of locally harvested wood, incorporates all that is unique and rustic about Nicaragua, combined with a light contemporary twist that harmonize with nature and each other. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms that share one bathroom. The corner room facing the ocean benefits from the natural daylight and airflow. Timber floors throughout, floor to ceiling sliding doors, and a king size bed with hotel quality sheets to make sure you have a comfortable nights sleep. Experience 180 degrees of panoramic view from your bed, read a book while laying in a hammock in the wrap around balcony or you can simply relax and watch the sun go down. The cabin rooms:Calala The first cabin and the closest to El Rancho, is secluded and offers real indoor-outdoor feel, with warm hardwood tones, soft lighting, plenty of storage space so you can feel right at home. Floor to ceiling sliding doors enhance the panoramic view from the comfort of your own king size bed. The ensuite bathroom with outdoor shower is perfect for refreshing in the late afternoon. Pitaya This cabin is located further away from El Rancho and closer to the jungle. The giant window facing the jungle allows you to bring the surroundings in. Keep an eye toward the trees early in the morning or late in the afternoon, as regularly you can see herds of monkeys moving around. This cabin is your private retreat with ensuite bathroom and outdoor shower. The large balcony in the front is a great place to relax, practice some yoga, or stargaze at night. CourtyardThe pool and terraces are the spots to relax and cool off, enjoy dining al fresco, reclining, bathing and even sleeping after a day at the beach, or from one of the many other excursions Nicaragua has to offer. Entirely surrounded by jungle, this is as private as it gets with plenty of outdoor seating, dining and lounging space.
