Montmorillon is a delightful place to vist for a day trip or even a few day stay over. "Le Brouard", or the ancient side of town, has a picturesque pedestrian area lined with quaint book and gift shop...
Beautiful old part of town. Lots of Books store some modern, some antique, most french. The typewriter museum is more interesting than you may think. A good place to wander on foot or bicycle.

interesting shops and a wonderful view from the top
worth taking the steep walk up from the bridge. The shops are all interesting and quaint. The views from the far side of the church are wonderful
