I had issues with the date so wasn't able to travel during the said booked time. I would like to give a special thanks to the lady I spoke to on phone who was really considerate and listened to me (I called several times) and arranged another day convenient for me. The room was nice but the walls were very thin due to which when people were playing music we could hear it in ours till 2am in the morning. Although they quickly responded when complained but the walls should be thicker so that people can enjoy their stay when they paid so much in a good hotel!
A gem of a hotel, tucked away on the University Campus. Lovely furnishings, excellent food at reasonable prices, beautiful bar and restaurant. We’ll be using this one again.
My stay at the Marriott Leicester was genuinely enjoyable and exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially liked the calm atmosphere—it felt like a proper break. The location was also ideal, close to Fosse Park and the motorway, but still peaceful. Overall, the Marriott Leicester felt like a perfect mix of comfort and class.
I’d stay there again because the bed was larger and more comfortable than the hotel I usually stay at on my annual trip to see family. Room was clean. The downsides: We arrived at around 11:30 and they wouldn’t check us in until after 12, I get that this is policy but other hotels in the city are flexible and we’d been travelling 20 hours. Also the air con in the room didn’t work and it was very hot for the UK so had a bit of trouble sleeping. They said they’d take a look and gave us a fan because I guess they couldn’t do anything but it didn’t quite cut it…
Christmas shopping in Leicester and needed a base to stay overnight so we could see the Christmas lights and experience of the night.
The VOCO hotel was walking distance from the city centre and easy to walk to the station the next day.
Inside the hotel the reception is very nicely decorated for the time of year! Gorgeous tree and decorations.
Meet by staff quickly no queue and got through check in quickly, lucky have stayed here before but was informed about the lifts and the rooms. The room was lovely, huge queen size bed that is so difficult to get out of, little fridge with water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate supplied in the room with biscuits. The whole room was clean, warm and welcoming on a wet day, and the shower and bathroom inviting to freshen up.
Will definitely be back in the future.
This hotel was huge! The pool area was great and the gym was big too. Only a short drive to either Coventry or Leicester for food too! Beds were very comfortable. Amazing!!
Located next to a railway station, the hotel offers basic amenities for your stay. The room was cleaned but the carpet in the lift area and the corridor gave a stinky smell. Breakfast was good many vegetarian options as well.
PPeter alan wilkinsonThe accommodation was clean, the usual kettle, coffee and Tea was provided. Water was provided via a carefree ( flip open bottle with a stopper ). Not sure the tap water in the room was safe but the water supplied was good which was handy as you could not fill the kettle from the wash basin , which was small in size.
My room had a walk in shower but it was in the shape of a quarter circle with the doors closing in the centre. If you were a large person getting in or out it was a squeeze. Towels, soap and shampoo provided but the satchels were difficult to open. Scissors or a sharp knife would be needed or very strong fingers lol. The bathroom was clean however there was an aroma maybe from the stench pipe but all in all it met my needs. Access was from a side door which you could unlock with the keys given to you when you book in at the bar. Be mindful all rooms are one floor up, the stairs are steep with one handrail so if you are disabled don't book here.
Zowie was the lady in charge, polite, helpful and freindly but sadly the opening times of the bar are limited. Open from 12 midday to 10pm Mon to Friday and longer on Saturday and Sunday. They obviously do a good Sunday lunch as I arrived Sunday and the place was heaving with customers. Never got a chance to sample their cuisine , breakfast was in a cafe about 2 minutes walk away. I was out early and back late hence I did not eat there.
Parking is free, but if you arrive Sunday the carpark will be full up with hungry customers.
There was a housekeeper who would tidy the room, change the towels but the bedlinen is not changed daily.
Overall the stay there was good however as there is no breakfast included it borders on being a little overpriced.
리리뷰어Restaurant was not open in the day or evenings and breakfast was disappointing. However, the rooms are great, WI FI really good and it was easy to park and get to the rooms. Will use again but it would be nice to have the restaurant as an option.

리리뷰어To customer service. My partner and l stayed at the Bosworth Hall hotel whilst travelling north for an overnight stay to break our journey and get refreshed to continue our journey. Sadly although the staff were amicable and the site was good we got very little sleep as there was hard noise through the night and early morning. This was acceptable but the bathroom facilities were unacceptable. There was very little water pressure so we could not shower and when inspected the pipe had obviously been faulty and leaking prior to our visit but the pipe had been wrapped with electrical insulation tape and the pressure reduced so it didn,t blow the tape off when used. It was a poor advert for a high class hotel. I attach a photo of the pipe. Also l expect you to make recompense to me. Regards Jacob Thomlinson.
DDejan SkaljacThe value is incredible. Includes breakkie. They are less than a mile away from the EMA airport terminal. Very straightforward to get to. Easy peezy check in . Took no more than half a minute , or thereabouts. We had to stay near the airport as we had a red-eye flight to the Canaries at 5.50am . Brilliant service - they make their breakfast available from 4am. Spacious rooms with all the mod-cons. Not a bad word to say about this establishment. ✅✔️☑️
리리뷰어Disappointingly the WORST room I have ever stayed in.
I had read reviews that the place was dated, but my bathroom door had literally fallen off its hinges. You can overlook a bit of dated decor, but my room was absolutely filthy. You could see the dirty and dust build up on furniture like the armchair, someone’s sock was in the fireplace, cobwebs and spiders in corners and under furniture, ***** on the loo seat and black mould and mildew in the bathroom. I even saw silverfish running across the bed!
Bedroom amenities were very minimal also, but the cherry on the cake was having to listen to the bar staff discussing vomiting and diarrhoea while waiting for my dinner.
Such a shame as the location is lovely.
리리뷰어Great location & fab gardens, hotel inside is dated & needs a make over, our room was basic, bed comfy, black mould on bathroom mastic & cracked tiles in shower area, stained tiles in ceiling area, patio doors to outside, but on opening in the morning, was greeted by a white transit van right outside doors & the wedding planners for the next wedding going back & forth,so couldn’t even have the curtains open, great full English breakfast options, but food had clearly been kept warm for quite a while,no plates,no tea bags, had to ask, tables hadn’t been cleared of dirty plates, glasses, mugs, etc & no staff to be seen,so had to clear our own table, staff all looked miserable & when they did appear, not one of them spoke to us!
