Would I Come Back? My Honest Stay at Hyatt Regency Phuket
I spent my birthday at Hyatt Regency Phuket. The resort is built into the hillside, so you get this stunning ocean view almost everywhere you go. It felt really private and lux.
Everyone I met with was very kind. One of the staff even offered to take me on a buggy ride just to show me around the resort.
The room was spacious and clean, with a big balcony facing the sea. Also low-key wished they gave me a little birthday surprise in the room… but they didn’t.
I spent a lot of time by the pool. It’s super quiet, maybe a little too quiet. I actually wished there was soft background music, just to make it feel less still. But I loved the cabanas. I could’ve stayed there all day.
Now, here’s the thing.. the resort is steep. You can call a buggy anytime, but if not, you’ll definitely be getting a workout. By the end of the stay, I could feel it in my legs. If walking’s not your thing, I’d recommend getting a room near the pool or lobby.
🍱 Food & Dining
I had lunch at the Japanese restaurant and the chef gave me a semi-private experience without me asking. The food was fresh, but a bit bland for my malaysian tastebud, and the whole moment felt really special.
I also had dinner at Casa Boho. The sunset view was incredible, the vibe was lively, and there’s even a hidden game room. But to be honest, the food portion didn’t justify the price wouldn’t go again unless its just for the view.
🍳 Breakfast
Breakfast had variety, but most of the meat options were pork, so if you’re a halal traveller, just something to be aware of..
🏋️♀️ Gym
The gym was one of my favourite parts.
Cold towels, clean space, and they even had free morning classes, which I wasn’t expecting. It was such a nice way to start the day, especially with the view.
📍 Location & Getting Around
The resort offers a free shuttle to the main area every few hours, which helps if you want to avoid using Grab. But it’s still a little far from convenience stores or anything walkable, so I recommend picking up whatever you need before checking in.
Would I stay again? Yes!! It’s a beautiful place to recharge, as long as you don’t mind the walk and don’t need to leave the resort too often.
