'Wonderful hotel, close walk to Funchal Centre and old town. Superb on cleanliness and really comfortable beds. Great little extras like free bottled water, the staff are so friendly and helpful, the people at desk always greet you warmly on entering and are so helpful. This is really a great find, I would highly recommend!'

'A beautiful beachfront hotel that is perfect for romantic getaways and a cheaper alternative, yet still luxury, to standard 5 star hotels. Location wise the hotel isn’t great as it’s very remote from the strip/city centre and taxi prices are not particularly cheap in Madeira. The rooms are spacious and stunning, well worth it with a great selection for the breakfast buffet and plenty of restaurants/options for dinner. A lovely love band/musician plays every night which is also great. Overall a wonderful stay with much friendly staff, however if you are looking to do much sightseeing in Madeira, this hotel is not the best option unless a significant amount is left for travel.'

'I found my stay at Dom Pedro Madeira to be quite average overall. The hotel feels a bit worn down, and the room I stayed in was small and basic. Cleanliness was okay but not outstanding. The location is good and the staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. However, the amenities were disappointing and could really use improvement.'

'Great hotel for a very reasonable price. Fantastic location and facilities.'

'Wonderful experience and the best hotel during our stay in Madeira. Perfect price and value proposition with a staff who are really customers oriented and friendly. Smaller hotel what is never overcrowded. Nice charming design elements. Very good breakfast with selection of local cheeses and meat. Real juice would be the only needed improvement and some pastel de Nata for the breakfast would add to the mandatory Portuguese experience. Otherwise 100% perfect stay. Excellent swimming pool with sea water. Yes. The rooms are somewhat dated but super clean and comfortable. I didn't came here to see golden chandeliers so l was super satistied! Excellent location and direct sea access. What more could one look for??'
