We’ve stayed at Hotel Christiania multiple times and it continues to be our favorite place in Zermatt. The views of the Matterhorn are stunning. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the lifts and the center of town. The entire hotel is immaculately clean and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and never fussy. The spa and pool area are a highlight. The hot tub, in particular, is the best I’ve found anywhere after a long day of skiing. It’s hot enough to melt away every muscle ache but not so hot that you feel lightheaded if you stay in too long. The jets are strong and deeply satisfying, just what you want after hours on the mountain. The indoor pool is beautiful and the kids’ room adds a thoughtful touch for families. Our child loves it and we love how easy everything feels. Another standout is the concierge team. We could text to book a spa appointment, request a taxi, or ask where to get pizza delivered, and the responses were always quick and kind. There’s also something special about the guests here. People seem genuinely happy to be at Christiania. It feels relaxed, social in a low-key way, and full of returning visitors who clearly love it as much as we do. There’s nothing quite like Christiania in the U.S. for this level of service, comfort, and value. We already can’t wait to return

Excellent location close to town centre with wonderful matterhorn views. Food was of a high standard although chef could have been more proactive regarding my wife's dietary requirements ( gluten, dairy free and no meat). Large , comfortable bedroom with seating area and balcony with stunning matterhorn views. Bathroom bit small. Staff constantly attentative and quick to resolve few minor issues we had.
