The best ever trip I’ve taken. Super well maintained amazzzzzzing staff. Super child friendly. I took my 3.5 year old and it’s the best thing we’ve experienced with her. The staff went out of their way. The ranger for the games drive was incredible with her and it’s them who made the trip so amazing. The animals ofcourse are awe inspiring but it’s the staff, from reservations to check out to the chef to the servers to housekeeping to the rangers. I would rate them 100/5 they are that good. Better than any other country we’ve stayed with a child.

All the Madikwe Safari Lodge staff were extremely friendly. Our game drives were excellent with our guide being particularly knowledgeable. We got to see a great variety of animals on these drives including a leopard, lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino, hyena, plus a variety of other species. The facilities, cuisine, and service were exceptional.

What a great place. We stayed as a group of 10 in may and have an amazing time. All the staff were fantastic and catered to all our needs. The food, facilities, pool area everything was 5 star. To top it off Mike our guide made this a vacation of a lifetime. Mike put so much effort into our daily guided trips and is a wealth of knowledge. 100% would recommend!

I recently took my mother to Madikwe Safari Lodge for five nights as i had always wanted to take her on a South African safari. We had a truly memorable time: the lodge and accommodation was great, and all the staff were very friendly, attentive and highly accomodating, particularly as my mother had certain dietary requirements that needed to be met - they looked after her so well and the food was always excellent. In addition to the excellent service we received from all staff at the lodge, our safari guide (Petrus) was fun, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and engaging and the game viewing was fantastic. I am fortunate to have been on safari a number of times before, so i had reasonably high expectations of the overall experience with Madikwe Safari Lodge, and those expectations were comfortably met. I would like to thank everyone at Madikwe Safari Lodge for giving my mother (and I) a most memorable experience - we would love to visit you again someday. Mark D

We stayed at the Lalapa Lodge part of Madikwe Safari Lodge. What a great stay, made special by Mike the 'driver' of our game vehicle. Mike has an extreme knowledge of the bush and animals and we coined him the animal whisperer as he found all the animals we wanted to see, and above all just a fantastic person. The lodge itself also gets 5 stars on every front. We wanted for nothing, the meals were very good, units were clean, staff were friendly, all round a perfect couple of days.

We were a group of 10 (4 kids & 6 adults) Our guide Mike & all the other amazing staff (Keba, Stella, Walter & Maureen) made all the adults & kids in our group feel so welcome. The service there is beyond anything we had imagined. Mike the guide was so knowledgeable about everything & so patient with all the questions! He worked so hard to find us the most beautiful animals. The food was amazing. Rooms are beautiful & pool has a view of the watering hole for the animals so can often see zebras & elephants right there. Would HIGHLY recommend this amazing place. Once in a lifetime trip.

Just returned from a magical trip from Madikwe safari lodge. Whilst the weather was against us, the hospitality was out of this world and we saw an abundance of wildlife! With two kids aged 9 & 12 they were entertained from sunrise to sunset! Memories we will cherish. Our Guide Peter was amazing, so knowledgeable about the animals but also taught us all about the stars! We also pre arranged with Kelsey & Bryon to have some family pictures done. Not only did they go above and beyond to help us feel comfortable, they really did capture a moment in time for us! Thank you so much!

We loved our 5 nights at the Kopano Camp at the Madikwe Safari Lodge. Essentially we had private game drives for most of the time we were staying there! Frank, manager, Byron, game drive guide, Silvia, butler and Veronika, housekeeper were excellent! Our chef, Kamo was excellent as well! We really enjoyed the watering hole at our camp as well as the one at Lelapa. We saw a lot of annimals. If we had been 2 minutes earlier to our camp, we would have seen a leopard! Federal Airlines' flights to the Madikwe landing ***** were fun. Overall, we had such a wonderful time that we are planning to go back to Africa soon.

Hi Madikwe team!! This is Ryan & Taylor - we stayed with you about a month ago in Feb. We’ve been on safari with a few other resorts after and we wanted to come back and give Mitch a shoutout. Madikwe was the first safari we’ve ever done and we didn’t realize how good we had it with Mitch! He pretty much ruined every experience afterward - none of these other guides know anything! For other travelers - we’ve stayed at other resorts in the same price point as Madikwe and this is the clear winner. It’s really not close. You’re here for Safari, and the guide knowledge and expertise is 10* out of 5. Wildlife at resort is 10* out of 5. I wish it wasn’t our first safari because the bar was set too high.
