Hotel Casa Zapallar

Great place! But there is a sewage smell that comes from the bathroom sink. I assume it happens in the town of Zapallar and there is no problem with the Hotel. But if you are sensitive to smells, it will bother you! I had a hard time feeling comfortable because it smelled like something was decomposing. Otherwise, the place was great!

This was our third visit in the last 12 months, and everything was a good as ever. We enjoy boutique type hotels with their excellent personal attention, comfortable rooms, and peace and quiet. We stayed for 3 nights and ate dinner each night. The menu is simply but tasty and well prepared. The breakfast buffet , I think , will satisfy all tastes, and the fact they have a good coffee machine makes a big difference. We cant handle that awful Nescafe instant stuff which is so popular with Chileans. I continue to recommend this place if you want to be in Zapallar, in a very good hotel, with excellent attention

this was our second visit. as before, we found the service impeccable, the staff go out of their way to make your stay a good one. rooms are well decorated, there is a small roof top terrace with a tiny pool, just for cooling off. The breakfasts have a good variety of choices, and there is a good espresso machine available all day , plus fruit, tea and bidcuits. Evening meals are simple but well prepared and the chef will try to accomodate any special requests. This is by far the best hotel in the area, and is about a 5 minute walk to the beautiful clean beach.

Feeling at home with elegance. Details are the word that can resume this small hotel: fresh flowers, coffee, biscuits, books, nice music, and elegant common spaces. The manager was absolutely welcoming and paying attention to make us feel unique and at home. Rooms are simple but comfortable and the bed it's atomic. Food is delicious to have a dinner and adapted to your preferences.

This was a wonderful quiet little gem that blends right into the neighborhood. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, the chef, Javier, a vegetarian, was amazing and the staff Angelita was so kind. I give it 4 stars for a few reasons. 1- the shower often lost hot water. 2- when we checked in, there was no one there but Angelita who did her very best to speak slow Spanish and I tried my best Spanish. Javier’s business partner was away so check in was a little strange and you just had the run of this large guest house yourself with little direction—all in all not a bad thing. However, we didn’t know what time was breakfast and no one was in the hotel until about 9a and we awoke at about 7a wondering when breakfast would start or see coffee. The dining area was also very very cold…but we found a space heater that we plugged in. It was also difficult to make the reservation as the website was down and I had to call 2 times and no emails were returned. I finally tried the website again and got in. They also touted a forest to walk in nearby, but when we got there, the park/forest area was privately owned and the owner was away so we could not get in. I would 100% stay here again with the kind staff, but you need to speak a little Spanish and be ok being alone in a hotel/B&B. The walk to the beach was fine and the ocean was stunning.

Very nice boutique hotel in the center of Zapallar, a short walk to the beach. Cosy, clean , full of charm with exceptional personalized service. Family owned, they do the extra mile to make you feel at home, in our case they re-organized the rooms to fit all our 4 children in one. Highly recommended.
