마렐렌 호텔(Marelen Hotel Zakynthos)

We spent 2 weeks here for the first time last September 2023, and we had a wonderful relaxing holiday. When we arrived we were greeted by lovely Sevi and Sophia on reception and our bags were kindly taken to our room. The hotel is immaculate, everything kept so clean and the staff go the extra mile. We were allocated a lovely quiet room looking over the gardens and house keeping was excellent where Nicolleta really looked after us with a lovely smile everyday. The pool area you had no problems getting sun beds (you can hire towels for pool and get money back when you leave), and the main pool bar gave excellent service and would bring you drinks to your bed. Dionisis looked after us all day with drinks and also a really good food menu. Would highly recommend the club sandwich for a snack. Also Denia and Manos gave excellent service and conversation. We ate in the restaurant 3 times and food was really good and always plenty to choose from and you had a choice of eating inside or out by the pool. Tomas who ran the restaurant was very attentive and professional and we always got a smiling welcome from Andreas who always smelt lovely. The bar on a night also was very nice and sometimes had live music on. We didn’t do breakfast but we heard it was really good. One thing I will say is that there was an medical emergency one morning with a guest in their room, and the staff reacted immediately very professionally and knew what to do and an ambulance arrived within 10 minutes, which gives you confidence in this hotel. We enjoyed this hotel so much we have booked again for 2 weeks in September this year but upgraded and included breakfast. Would highly recommend.

On the whole, this is a wonderful 4 star hotel,we stayed on a b&b basis, and the breakfast selection is huge and wide-ranging in choice. The rooms are first class, spotlessly clean and very modern,our power shower was unbelievable. There are 3 pools,kids,family, and adults .My main concern with the hotel is with the number of kids that parents bring to the adult pool, why is this not stopped by the hotel? The adult pool should be a peaceful haven The staff at the hotel all interact in the way you would expect of a four star establishment. We will be coming to Kalamaki next year but will choose an hotel with a adults pool we can relax in

Just stayed at the Marelen for ten nights and can’t praise it enough! The beautiful grounds are kept immaculately by the staff, the rooms are comfortable and have everything you need- beds so comfy you get a really good nights sleep and no noise through the walls at all! Kettle fridge and safe in room- bring your own tea coffee etc or easy to get in shops nearby. Stayed B&B and can honestly say it’s the BEST breakfast buffet we have ever had- there is literally nothing you could want that wasn’t there! All staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. reception are so helpful too and helped us book a lovely trip on a turtle spotting boat- great afternoon out! Used the adult only pool for first half of our holiday and it was beautifully peaceful- despite the notices on the gate though some disrespectful families ignored this and took children in there which we couldn’t understand as they have their own pool and a gorgeous fun park type pool that our children would have loved when they were small- maybe a good idea for staff to keep an eye on and remind as necessary as we moved to the beach after this! Great tip - sunbeds can be booked on the grassy bit at back of beach and are very peaceful! Five minute walk to beach and ten minutes to get to main road. We looked at the other hotels around here during our stay and the Marelen is definitely the best in the area in our opinion. Thank you so much to all the hardworking staff who made our trip so amazing- if we ever return to Kalamaki we really wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Marelen!

we stayed at Marelen for 7 nights on B&B and it was amazing to say the least, I am currently a apprentice travel consultant and I will absolutely be recommending this to my customers, so they can have as much a magical experience as we did!

We had a 7 nights stay at Marelen and I would definetly recommand this place. It is very close to the beach, 3-5 min walk, food is incredibly good and lots of varieties to choose from, staff, waiters, cleaning ladies are all very friendly and the place is also baby friendly. It is about 10-15 walk from the main road where tou can find super markets and lots of restaurants. Check out is normaly at 10 AM, but were able check out at 11 exactly the time of pick up and also very important for us is that out baby could have her regular nap in the room. Much appreciated! Would be nice if the pool would have been opened until 20:00 at least, instead of 19:00, to have more time to relax when the sun is not burning, but this regular closing hour was due to cleaning and chemical dosing. Overall it was a great holiday for us. Thank you!

Fantastic hotel from the moment we arrived. We stayed half board and the food available was great with a lot of local Greek food as well as more continental foods. The accommodation was comfy with ample space. The staff on site really made the holiday! Thank you to all of you and especially, Theresa who answered all my emails before arrival and gave us the perfect room for our needs. Sivi, who was always available for a chat and couldn't help anymore if she tried, and went truly out of her way to sort out a little issue we had during our stay. Nikos at the cocktail bar for my evening drinks and chat. Antreas, and the boys in the restaurant who worked so hard to keep everyone served, tidy and welcome. Thank you and can't wait to return!

If you are going to Zante & would like the perfect place to stay look no further. The Hotel and the staff can not do enough for you. We used this lovely hotel & staff for our home for 10 days & they was very happy for our wedding guests to pop in & say hello when ever they wanted. Which was awesome for us. Some if our guests stayed here too & was very happy with us recommending this hotel as it was spot on from start to finish. The grounds are very well looked after and are lovely to take pictures of my beautiful bride before she headed away for our wedding venue. To be fair a lovely place for a wedding too. We had an awesome time here & would defo go back any time🫶🏼 Thank you again to the great hotel management & their amazing staff for helping making our Holiday/Wedding the best it could ever be. We have recently re visited Marelen Hotel after our last trip30 year ago! We stayed late September for 10 nights in a superior ground floor room which was perfect for us in every way. It was so comfortable and spotlessly clean. Every member of staff was so helpful and cheerful also nothing we asked was too much trouble. The variety at breakfast was amazing always fresh and very tasty. We only had one evening meal which are offered on a different theme each night. This was not for us sadly but we found fabulous restaurants at the nearby *****. We will definitely be back and we won’t wait 30 years this time

Lovely hotel, very clean and well looked after. Clean towels daily. Pools cold but cleaned and treated daily. Areas around pools very clean and sun beds good and plenty. Had breakfast daily and was very good, lots of choice for all different nationalities. Pool bar lunches also very good. Did not have evening meals so cannot comment on that. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel caters for all ages, young children, teens ,adults and the older generation. Beach 200 on left and 350+meters to right for main town areas. Absolutely loved it and will definitely return x
