The hotel is located close to the Yala national Park, where I was lucky to see a leopard and has a private beach, with reachable by hotel jeep. For detoxing and recharging I booked an Ayurveda retreat at Thaulle and stayed in a wonderful, spacious and lovely maintained room, with a stunning view over the lake. Yes, it is a bit longer trip from Colombo, but It was more than worth it. I was in time picked up by super friendly driver Dulash, who brought us safely to the hotel and stopped once a while patiently, so that I could take a stunning sunrise photo during the ride. The moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff and my room was immediately ready. Imisch and the Ladies were exceptionally friendly and made me feel all the time so much welcome. A tasty food was served everyday by great Chefs, always accordingly to my Dosha type. The communication between Hotel and Ayurveda treatments was impressive. Beverage & Food Mr. Prasanna, Dineth and the service team were super attentive, friendly and always a step ahead! Mentioning the both Doctors, who were like magicians for me. They could tell what was wrong by looking into my eyes and tongue; always available and every evening checking in on us guests, answering questions or explaining treatments. Nislala and Chanoda were my fantastic treatment ladies and they executed the doc's treatment for me with high professionality and an honest smile every day! One last sentence to the cleaning boys: Thanks so much for a super clean room, flower decorations - and opening the difficult water bottles cap for me :o) This hotel is super managed and every last employee knows exactly what to do! Disadvantage: I am spoiled like a Queen, so this is difficult to top! Thanks a lot for wonderful vacation, I really appreciated my stay with you.

I just returned and spent two weeks at the Thaulle Ayurveda Resort. I can highly recommend the resort, especially the Ayurveda treatments. All the staff at the resort were extremely friendly and helpful. Most of the rooms have a beautiful view. The location is near Yala National Park, close to a large lake where many birds gather.

Wow what a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location by the lake. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Our room was glorious with a spectacular view and balcony. The staff could not do enough for you they were so attentive and helpful. The food was lovely, traditional and beautifully cooked. It was in a good location to visit Yalla national park. We stayed 2 nights , we wished we could have stayed longer. Can’t recommend this hotel more.

This place was so refreshing. More of a boutique hotel. My room had a view of Yoda lake. Slippers and bathrobes. Huge bathroom. Good water pressure and temperature in the shower. Evening buffet dinner was limited (compared to other hotels) but really good quality food. Dining tables available inside and outside on their grounds which were well maintained. It was a nice surprise to have breakfast brought to the table. Got a menu to choose from a continental, American or local breakfast. Table was beautifully decorated with petals and a view of the lake. The American consisted of a plate of fruit, sap juice, green tea, a bread basket with homemade jams - mango, rose wood and apple wood - all delicious. Followed by 2 pouched eggs, hash browns, sausages, tomato and cheese. I was very pleased. Check in and out was easy, no waiting. Staff were lovely.

Great experience. Rejuvenating. Fantastic location on Lake Yoda. They also have a restaurant and immersion pool in nearby Kirinda Beach where we went often. Friendly, attentive staff. Ayurvedic treatments were the main reason we returned. Daily yoga. We rented scooters (5 Euros per day) to also use our free time to visit nearby Tissamaharama. Temples and nature (Yala National Park) nearby. We did a safari again as well.

This hotel has no children policy but they were so lovely that they accepted our reservation with our two daughters of 10 years. Thanks to Shawn he had arranged a beautiful room for us four with very nice view of the lake. We spent 4 days there invluding our new year’s eve with amazing food and very nice entertainment. Breakfast was amazing and with excellent variety. They have 2 pools one at the hotel and the other one next to the beach with 10 minutes drive. The resort has even the Aruvedya treatments for thosr who are interested. Very recommended for the stay at Tissamaharama.
