Eastern Premier Hotel

Booked an executive room which was very clean and pleasant. Very good WiFi connection. Pool was unfortunately not available when staying there due to ongoing maintenance work. Food was simple but good quality. Breakfast could have been better. Staff well trained and polite. Too bad I couldn’t pay with MasterCard (Only visa was accepted).

This review is solely for their standard room. This is our second time staying here. We were here for a family event in koforidua. For the price you pay for this hotel you would expect various basic amenities. We were unhappy with our stay but we stuck it out. If you plan to stay here know that it’s not refundable. They don’t even have it written anywhere on their intake forms or brochure. Their standard room caters to one person in terms of complimentary breakfast. So if you are a couple your partner will have to pay additional for breakfast. You have to upgrade to a deluxe or superior room to get the complimentary breakfast for two. If you ask me that’s not complimentary. There is no microwave in the standard room so forget about heating your food. And the kitchen will not heat outside food for you. Also there is no iron or steamer for your clothes you will have to call their laundry services and pay for that. Tv in the room is not clear. In the bathroom our shower head was broken, shower tiles need regrouting, the light fixture in the shower stall had spaces around it that made it look tacky. Also the toilet bowl had scum. Also the house keeper made the bed without changing the sheets (yuck) so what was the point of coming to change the sheets. Over all we were very disappointed and we do not plan to stay here again.
