Beautiful peaceful place, nice architecture and landscape, well-designed rooms, good service.  The spa facilities could be better though - there is no jacuzzi and the hammam does not heat up properly.

Spent 4 nights here last week, and played golf 3 times. There was clearly once an intention to build a large housing estate on the road up to the resort, which never happened. It feels quite isolated, although it’s really not that far to the coast, and less than an hour to Valencia. The scenery around the hotel and golf course is spectacular, as it’s nestled between the mountains and orange groves. Absolutely beautiful. Arriving at the hotel we were warmly welcomed and shown to our room. The facility is modern, spacious and impressive. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and had a terrace with great views. Wi-Fi was good. We did not use the spa or the gym. We asked for a table for lunch at 1.30 when we arrived, and were surprised to find that we could only just be fitted in. It became apparent why, as the restaurant was soon full. Not with tourists or hotel guests, as the restaurant is open to all for lunch (not dinner). The food and service were excellent, so we could see why it was so popular. We arrived on a bank holiday, but actually the lunch session was very busy each day of our stay. The hotel was hosting a professional Spanish cycling team for a couple of weeks, whilst we were there, so there weren’t many other guests apart from us. I think there’s only about 48 rooms. We were on half board, and dinner is usually a buffet for hotel guests only. This was a bit tricky with all the cyclists staying. The hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate us, as it was a bit unusual, and ensure that we weren’t inconvenienced at all. This was very much appreciated. The golf course was as challenging as expected ! Some really great views, greens/fairways in good condition and interesting holes, but we certainly lost lots of golf balls. It was a bit windy, but not wet, and you need a buggy unless you are particularly super fit. The staff were all very friendly helpful and accommodating, and the course wasn’t busy (low season). We enjoyed our stay and would happily return, but need to improve our golfing skills to do the course justice.

Stylish and relaxing hotel We have stayed at the hotel twice this year and I have thought carefully about this review . It is a beautiful and luxurious place to stay. The rooms are beautifully styled and have luxurious bathrooms and balconies where you can soak up the sun whilst overlooking the golf course. There is a gym and pool. The staff are very helpful and professional. Breakfast is good, offering a varied and tasty buffet as well as food cooked to order. The hotel would be brilliant if the restaurant food in the evening was better. We have been visiting Spain for 30 years and I think we have had the worst food I have ever had in Spain on this visit. We have eaten in the bar and in the restaurant. The bar food was tasty, hot and well presented. When we visited in April we ate in the restaurant at night and it was okay. This time the table service had been changed to a buffet. It was really poor. The starters were ok ,salads, focaccia with cheese and sardines . The main course was not good . As my husband doesn’t eat fish we chose the beef. It was some kind of beef rib , cold I had to send it back to be recooked. There was hardly any meat most of the cut was boney and fatty, it was inedible. We have eaten in the bar and the bar menu was so much better. The restaurant really lets down the hotel. Please improve your offer and then this hotel has the potential to be one of the best in Spain

Great hotel! Everything is brand new and the design is amazing. The room is big with a very comfortable bed and a really nice view of the golf course. The only thing is that the food could be better. It was rather expensive and mediocre.

This property is really beautiful and has the potential to be a 5 star hotel, however, unfortunately due to the very poor service, the hotel is deceiving. The staff is incredibly hostile and not accommodating at all. We tried to book a golf lesson prior to arriving as the hotel reception communicated that they had a teacher onsite, but when we tried to book they come up with all kinds of excuses, eventually stating that there was no teacher for any days of our stay. When we arrived we booked a deluxe room, however our neighbors were incredibly noisy. After having complained to the receptionist about it, she did nothing and said quite bluntly: “I guess it’s normal”. It was quite frustrating that nothing was done. When we went to the pool they said they didn’t have enough pool towels for us. I have never been to a hotel where they didn’t have enough towels for their guests, especially a luxury hotel. The hotel was not even fully booked, so this was even more surprising. After finally asking them to ask House Keeping the pool girl finally got us a towel. After all of this, I sent an email to the receptionist asking if I could have the contact of the Manager of the hotel and they said it wasn’t possible and that the Manager would answer my email. Until today I still haven’t had any reply from the Manager nor the receptionist to my email. I find this extremely poor management and I am incredibly disappointed that I was unable to talk to a supervisor or at least receive a reply to my email. I’ve never encountered such poor service. Although the hotel is beautiful, the really bad service leaves you feeling really deceived by the entire experience.
