My wife and I called in on a weekday lunchtime having driven past the pub in the past. I had one of daily specials, Rogan Gosh Chicken curry and my wife had another, Asian pan fried sea bass with trimmings. Excellent lunch wrapped up with sticky toffee pudding dessert. Very friendly staff. Good choice of sled. Good garden and parking. We will be back!

My sister and I had dinner in the pub when we were staying in a cottage in the area. Booking a table online was easy and when we arrived, it was a lovely welcome. The pub is light and airy and had a lively buzzy atmosphere. There is a good selection on the menu and they brought our drinks to the table. We both opted for pizzas, which were delicious. They were also rather large and we regretted ordering a side of garlic bread! Because we couldn’t manage it all, they wrapped the leftovers for us to take away. The only room for improvement was the fact that they brought the bill without us asking for it. The assumption was made that because we didn’t finish our pizzas, we didn’t want dessert; we might have not eaten all the pizzas to intentionally leave room for dessert! We weren’t bothered either way so paid the bill and left but we are both self confessed pudding monsters and if we’d been presented with the dessert menu, just in case, we might well have ordered one. If we’d been that bothered we’d have said something, but I thought it was worth mentioning. It didn’t spoil the evening and if in the area, I’d have no hesitation in eating here again.
