디스커버리 파크 다윈(Discovery Parks - Darwin)

If WIFI is important don't stay here!! After travelling for 17 hours and looking forward to catching up on news and emails I arrive to find the small print on their welcome leaflet says they ' Offer LIMITED and INTERMITTENT acces for guests to check emails and search the internet'. I'm not a teenager who needs my internet acces limited. For NZ$159 per night, this is an absolute rip-off. I would not have booked here, to stay in what is a basic donga, and no WIFI. So now I'm having to use mobile data to do the basics. And if you like reading by a dull yellow / brown light, well you'll be happy with the lighting. otherwise bring a torch. Unimpressed? Sure am!

Second time i am using Discovery park in different places both are very good for the price point and facilities

In our basic cabin we had everything we needed. The kitchenette was well stocked with utensils and dishwares. Very clean and the beds super comfortable. We also enjoyed the pool on those hot Darwin afternoons.

This park is directly in the flight path for the international airport in Darwin. Our first night was interrupted continually up until at least 2.45 in the morning with overhead plane travel.. it is also THE most expensive caravan park we have stayed at at $75.00per night in Australia......truly exorbitant for nothing more than we have stayed at anywhere else. No concrete slab, prickles underfoot.... I get the no grass, it's Darwin in the dry, but for that price, you would expect **** management... we have moved our van to the burbs ..much better. 🙂

The staff were very friendly, however, we did not receive the service for the room that we were promised. Even when it was five days overdue they still couldn’t say when it would be done. So we just stopped asking. Public transport to town is by bus and it is OK

Accomadation cabin was fine, bed comfy had everything we needed. Park was clean and tidy. Had 2 x pools, jumping pillow for kids. Close to airport so could hear planes taking off. Bit out of town not too far though. Overall nice stay

Good for families with 2 pools and a bouncy castle to entertain the kids.

About 10km out of Darwin it didn't take long to get to the CBD. The local bus stop is just outside which we used a couple of times although they don't run very late at night for an evening out. We learnt after the first night that we had to buy ear plugs to get a descent nights sleep as the noise from the airport and the Stuart Highway day and night is not good. The van park sites and facilities very good.
