民宿離碼頭大約1公里，離温德米爾小鎮也是1公里左右，其他都挺好，就是房間實在太小了。特別是淋浴間，沐浴的地方很小，轉身也比較困難，特別對於男士來説。房間有一個小冰箱，放兩個大箱子的話非常困難，如果住在一樓進進出出會比較吵。要表揚的是餐廳的早餐做得比較精緻，但是如果每天都吃的話，可能也會膩了。 謝謝小木屋有自己的停車場，大約可以停五輛車，所謂的游泳池不是在這裏，要開車大概五分鐘的一個會所。

I booked a 2 night stay at Glencree through *********** and opted for a room with a balcony. The room we were given was room 1 , a small but spotlessly clean cosy room with ensuite with the balcony overlooking the stream, very pretty, with tables and chairs . Glencree is in a great position , being a 15 minute walk either side to Windermere & Bowness, has free parking for 4 cars but can also use the Church directly opposite. Breakfast was ordered the day before on the tablet in our room with a great choice and the time slot you preferred. Breakfast was served by Ian the owner, we had a full English which was cooked to perfection. Ian was the perfect friendly host. I would highly recommend Glencree and hope to stay again in the future.

What an amazing stay, the location was perfect along with the host, Ian, making us feel very welcome and looked after. I couldn’t recommend this guesthouse enough and will definitely return in the future. The stay gives you access to a local health club that has a spa and swimming pool which was nice and relaxing. The room itself was very cozy with a balcony that has peaceful views. Location was ideal with a 10 minute walk either way to Bowness or Windermere town centre respectively.

Had an overnight stay last week, Ian sent us an email with a code to get in the front door and our room, Room 4 was upstairs and a spiral staircase, I was ok going up not sure about coming down it, Room was lovely and clean has the best shower ever, Breakfast was ordered the night before through a tablet, was served by Ian who is lovely, car parking is free or you can park over the road on the church, location was in between Windermere and Bowness, sorry we didn't get to say goodbye as you were busy with other guests, Thanks for a lovely stay.

I am writing this review in hope of at least getting a response. Myself and my partner made a booking through Wowcher and have seen that glencree is not honouring red letter days so we were concerned if that affects Wowcher too. We have emailed, been on chat, left voice message and called numerous times to see if our booking is confirmed and had no response after a few days. No one picks up the phone so we now have to cancel even if our booking didn’t go through as we are not prepared to travel 2.5hrs on the off chance we have a room!

We made the booking last minute and we weren't disappointed. Glencree is a great guest house in a fab location. Ian is a very welcoming host who provides an excellent breakfast. Our room was small but very comfortable, and the balcony was a welcome addition. Free parking is always a bonus, and with the guest house being in the middle of Windermere and Bowness, you can easily walk to both locations. Would definitely recommend Glencree, and the only reason I didn't mark as a five was due to the size of the room. I understand larger rooms are available and will ask for one of these should we stay again.

Just stayed for 2 nights. Lovely guest house. Host Ian was very friendly. Great breakfast with high quality produce. Room 4 was lovely with a very powerful big shower. Thank you Ian we would stay again. Great location between 2 villages so was walking distance to all local amenities and tourist attractions.

Great place to stay! The rooms are modern and quirky! The host was great and breakfast was first class. we had to use a spiral staircase to get to our room which was brilliant ! The only issue I had was that the lighting in the rooms wasn’t great for putting my make up on. Would I stay again…..most definitely

Wow.. this little but full of character is one of the nicest and cozy guest house I've stayed in. The room we stayed in was lovely and spacious. The whole area was spotless. There was plenty of parking on site but had an overflow just across the road. The breakfast was delicious. The host was a star. We will definitely be coming back

Glencree Guest House. Room was fab No.3. Comfy bed, gorgeous quilt, dressing table, fab long mirror, fridge, powerful hairdryer, tea & coffee, there was a pod coffee machine but unsure why as there was no pods, big TV. Bathroom lovely just shower no bath, powerful, however if you of the larger frame would find it difficult getting into shower. Continental breakfast, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, toast. Hot breakfast is available £7.50 each. Ian could not do enough for you. Terrace seating are to the rear that I would think would be lovely in the summer. Parking available. 10 mins walk to Windermere, 10 mins to Bowness Would defo return.

We spent the night here in the romantic double room with decking. Room was beautiful, and it was lovely to overlook the water when out on the decking. Breakfast was good, would recommend and we hope to come back soon. Only a short walk into bowness which was a bonus.

I loved everything about this place! Firstly the location is perfect, the b&b is located on Lake Road just a short walk away from Windermere & Bowness on Windermere. The room was extremely clean & spacious, well equipped with a large fridge & loads of Lake District small business products such as tea, coffee, soap etc. It’s great to see B&Bs work with small local businesses and really gives an authenticity to the B&B. The Room also came equipped with a tablet with loads of information, breakfast options/orders. You can also book Lake trips through the tablet and contact Ian (The owner) if you have any issues! The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a B&B, you can order pretty much whatever you want the night before using the tablet which made the whole ordering breakfast process a lot slicker and easier. Ian was amazing! Really great guy. He was extremely welcoming to me and my girlfriend and made us and other guests feel at home! At breakfast you could just tell by overhearing conversations that Ian was extremely interactive with all the guests and was genuinely intrigued in what they had planned for the day. Best till last, When you stay at the B&B you get access to a gym/ spa with a pool, sauna, big jacuzzi, steam room the works. We asked Ian if we could go after we checked out and he was completely fine with it. Amazing place to go after a good sleep and scrumptious full English!

Lovely B+B, very clean and cosy with lots of character. Ideal location. Car park is very small but you can use the church car park across the road. Ian the host is very friendly and helpful. Very obvious he goes the extra mile and has attention to detail. Our room was nicely decorated on the ground floor but still very quiet. There is a lovely area to sit outside and have a drink overlooking the river. Breakfast is freshly prepared and ample. Would recommend. We stayed two nights and found it good value for money. Stayed for 2 nights and it is ideally situated between Windermere and Bowness,Ian is a great host and breakfast is lovely and which you order on the tablet in your room ours being room 2 , I removed a star because their is no socket by the mirror for the wife to do her hair (not happy) easily solved by an extension behind the bed and close to the mirror and the extension on the other side of the room wouldn’t reach and is used for everything else in the room ,ceilings in the bedroom and bathroom which is full of steam after showering need attention but all cosmetic and easily solved and would certainly stay again and hope Ian looks on these as constructive criticisms and nothing else .
