My family and I stayed at the sea gypsy hotel over the forth of July weekend this year. The hotel was so dirty that we should have left at check in. We were unfortunately not in a position to leave, so we decided to stay. Big mistake. On the morning 8th my son who slept in the bed next to mine awoke with bed bug bites numbering above 20. I noticed I had a few bites also. Not familiar with bedbugs, we chalked it up to sleeping with windows open with no screening. We figured the nest of trees outside the window was full of mosquitoes and a few had actually gotten into the room. Big mistake number 2 not leaving then. When we woke up the next morning after sleeping with windows closed thar night to over 50 bites on my son and countless more on myself. When I started to look around the room at the mattress seams, there they were. Disgusting. Handfuls of bugs, shells, poop, blood. How Disgusting. I marched over to the office and received an unbelievable response from THE OWNER. He said, and I quote "not my problem ". He and his wife refused a refund, refused to help disinfect and replace our belongings, refused to come to the room with me to see the bugs, ultimately refused any responsibility for tile state of thier Disgusting hotel , bed n breakfast. Stay away is all I can say

The Sea Gypsy is an absolute oasis from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk (and yet extremely close to it when that's what you want.) There are not enough stars to rate the charm of the place. We were in the DH Lawrence suite and it came with its own guard-cat, Romeo. ;-) The whole experience there was a vacation unto itself.

Absolutely loved our room. It was like a home away from home from a past life decorated with cool antiques. We even had a friendly cat come chill with us on our patio whenever we went outside. Very welcoming atmosphere but not overbearing at all. I love how all of the rooms are different too. We are planning another trip and staying in another room.

The Sea Gypsy is located near many points of interest. It's a very quaint and charming place to stay. They were accommodating with one vegan breakfast out of the three of us. Highly recommend getting the breakfast, which they made in a "to go" fashion, so you can choose to eat in the dining room, on the porch, or at the beach. Would stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay at The Sea Gypsy. This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and it certainly won't be our last after our experience at The Sea Gypsy. Beautiful property. Comfortable beds. Enjoyed the nice breeze on the porch. Delicious carry out breakfast. The owners/staff were helpful and friendly.

a very practical and pleasant place in an old house surely one of the oldest in wildwood!! the beach was very close on foot!! a hostess available and discreet at the same time! a good thoughtful breakfast

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The environment is very pleasant and peaceful. Love the front porch. The homemade breakfast is so excellent. Only blocks from one of the best beaches that the wildwoods have to offer. We really had a nice time, as matter of fact we had such a nice time we booked for Labor Day. Thank you Sea Gypsy

Our stay at the Sea Gypsy was phenomenal! Three of us stayed in the RL Stevenson suite and two of us stayed in Alfred Lord Tennyson room. The Tennyson room was comfortable and roomy with a beautiful, large bathroom. The room is filled with period furnishture and quaint touches. The Stevenson suite was great for 3 people as it had kitchenette, table and chairs which added to the space. It also gave us entry to a large and beautiful upper front porch. The porch extended the living space while, also giving us a great place to relax and people watch. While owners Todd and Nataile are on site and visible on the property, their presence was unobtrusive. We felt comfortable and free to move about,and use the many amenities on the property, including the lovely Victorian House wraparound, porch, the hot tub, and the Queen Anne living room and TV. We recommend these accommodations for anyone needing to stay a couple of nights or more in Wildwood. You will not be disappointed!
