듄 빌라 윌더니스(Dune Villa Wilderness)

Excellent accommodation with the most amazing views. Breakfast was great - will definitely be back. The host extremely friendly and helpful.

This hotel is located in a residential area, which gives it more a B&B then a hotel idea. We were the only guests and therefore a bit surprised about the breakfast spread, which was very big. The room had a beautiful view of the Indian Ocean and it was nice that you could sit outside on a private balcony. The room itself was spacious, but the lay out was a bit odd, with a glass shower potruding into the room: not very nice when you want to shower in privacy (:-)). There were comfortable beds, but a stand for suitcases was missing while there was enough space for them and part of the room was badly lit. In the room were plenty of snacks, so you could nibble away while relaxing. When we wanted to know if we could leave the balcony doors open during the night, it was difficult to get in touch with the owner. That was a bit annoying.

We stayed at Dune Villa for 2 nights during our round trip in SA. We chose this place as we wanted to stay right at the beach! “Right at the beach” in Wilderness is always “above” on the hill where all private residencies are with a lovely view along the whole beach. We enjoyed our stay there very much, we had a great time despite we hit 2 very windy days! James, the owner, is a friendly person that helps out with any issue. The suite was very spacious and clean. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is to offer breakfast a bit earlier than 8:30/9 as it might crash someone’s day trip plans.

Stayed for 2 nights with balcony view. Spectacular view. The sound of the sea was almost too much. Our room had everything we needed. A generous fridge with complimentary wine etc. The breakfast was a generous buffet and the host even had snacks and biscuits etc left out to help yourself. You could walk down the wooden staircase onto the cast beach and walk into the village. Thanks for a great couple of evenings.

Wilderness is a beach paradise, and Dune Villa is one of the best bed and breakfast hotels we have stayed in on our visits there. James made a special point of welcoming us in a down to earth and practical way. Our room overlooked the beach, and was very well equipped with lots of wardrobe space. A bit of a descent ( 102 steps) to the sand but an easy gradient so no problem. Staff all very attentive and friendly. Pool could be a bit bigger, but there's always the sea to swim in! Excellent breakfast, can't think of anything to complain about. James does a great job.

Lovely property. Great host. Perfect location on the beach. Lovely touch of cakes, fruit, drinks and snacks being available all day and in the room. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Have already recommended to friends who are staying there in two weeks.

A wonderful holiday destination in a magnificent villa with stunning views. We were completely spoilt, delicious snacks throughout the day and warm, caring hosts. Room was incredibly comfortable and clean with very thoughtful touches to make our stay a holiday of a lifetime! Thank you to James and his Team!

We had an excellent and relaxing stay here. The view of the ocean from the room was stunning and you had direct access to the beach from the villa. The room was clean and modern with a kettle and coffee maker. Breakfast was delicious with both continental and cooked available. In a good location, just a short drive to local shops, restaurants and the national park. Staff were great and very accommodating - would highly recommend.

Location- at the end of a very dark, poorly lit road. Area is quite deserted and surrounded by other houses. Facilities- dated, damp and poorly laid out. Very strange to enter a room and have a shower behind the door. The bath is huge and takes up all the room so you have to walk around it to access the sink and lavatory. Even stranger, the toilet has a mobile screen around it which ensures there is absolutely no privacy. An example in how NOT to use an open-plan bathroom. A large room which feels very cluttered and claustrophobic. No bedside tables and poor arrangements for load-shedding. Breakfast- not cooked to order and available strictly 9-10am so if you have early plans you would miss it. Really quite a poor variety and the worst of our SA travels. This is more a 'home-stay' where you feel as though you are staying as a lodger. Photos are not reflective of the 'villa' No USB chargers and no sensibly placed sockets.
