인 온 더 레이크 - 화이트호스

Juneauから車で行く予定だったが波が12ftと高く欠航で手段が無く行けなかったが、ホテルに事前に連絡しても全額払えと最悪。天候不順で物理的に行けない不可抗力でも全く考慮してくれない。もう2度と行く事無いのと、前払いのリスクを改めて認識しました。

We arrived late and left very early, so we were not able to take advantage of all the Inn on the Lake has to offer. The surroundings and view are beautiful. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, which was less than I would have expected for the price of the rooms. The bathroom was awkward. It had two showers, only one of which had shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. There was no bar soap or hand soap for the teeny-tiny pedestal sink. The stopper was missing, so any items dropped into the sink would be lost down the drain. There was no place to set any toiletries or dopp kit. No hand lotion was provided. There was no coffee maker in the room, which every hotel provides nowadays. Even some complimentary bottled water would have been nice. The bedrooms were very light, even with pull down pleated shades. I get that this is the Yukon, but there is such a thing as blackout drapes, which would have helped block out the light at 11 p.m.

It is a confortable cabin although it seems bigger in the photos There is no cleaning of the room or many activities at site. The meals have to be booked previously and there is only fixed schedules to eat. Considering the location is in a very remote place with nothing around to go for aprox 1 hour, it could be advisable to have additional meals or options to offer, as not always we can settle for the fixed schedules. The place has a good maintenance and a superb location over the frozen river. Suggest a two day stay.

What nature has to offer in and around Marsh Lake is outstanding. But what the accommodation known as the Inn on the Lake has to offer is not in any way an exceptional place. A small, busy dedicated team are over worked here, which resulted in suboptimal housekeeping standards. The owner demonstrated overall poor customer service. Would not recommend this accommodation. Which is a pity because the dining experience was excellent.

I would highly recommend the Inn on the Lake. My friend and I stayed there for 4 nights while we were in Whitehorse and loved our experience. It was so convenient to just walk out the back door and go down to the lake each night, waiting for the northern lights to make an appearance. What a place to see them, stretched out over the entire lake from one horizon to the other! No driving or large groups of people required. And sitting in the hot tub out back was such a wonderful way to end each amazing day! As part of the package we were able to use the winter gear --plenty of sizes and styles so that we were warm enough to be outside in the cold all night. The food at the Inn was fabulous. The accommodations were comfortable and modern. Carson, Jim, Vincent, and the other staff were all professional, friendly, genuine, and treated us like family. We did a snowmobile and dog-sledding tour while we were there and highly recommend both. The guides were excellent! It was incredible to dog-sled with 4-time Iditarod musher, Marcelle Fressineau! This experience is not to be missed!! Highly recommend! Would definitely stay there again if I ever find myself back in Whitehorse!

We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at the Inn on the Lake. From the amazing food every night around a beautifully set dining table, to the comfortable rooms and the great service from everyone working there. It was like being invited into someone's home, thank you. The snowmobile day trip was a highlight as was the fact we could duck outside to the lake to check on the Northern Lights which did not disappoint. Thanks for making our first trip to the Yukon very special.
