Our group of friends ski together annually, have traveled dozens of times to various rental properties in Canada/US over 15 years and do quite a bit of research before selecting a property. In selecting this property, we expected a luxury experience -- it was not. We obviously made mistakes wrt the quality of the property and the owner's business moral compass. Upon check in, keys were left under a side door mat, not the lockbox as previously communicated to us. Surprising to see the non-modernized bathrooms, bedrooms and living room. Kitchen is fine for a small family but not the advertised larger groups of 10 or more. The Internet is barely strong enough anywhere in the house to get weather forecasts on a web browser. Streaming Internet entertainment at night like HBO or NetFlix in the living room, forget about it. Nearly 8 weeks after my friends left the house in great condition - and left a pair of ski gloves there too with no owner outreach - we have yet to receive any of our damage $$ deposit back. No gloves either. Silver lining is that the nearby lake location for snowshoeing is very walkable. Neither Whistler nor Blackcomb are walkable in any way though as advertised on the write up.
