I came with my pregnant girlfriend for her birthday to Bawe island and I couldn’t have felt more safe around Sansibar then at Bawe Island. Amine the Manager of the hotel has recruited an exceptional team, every single one of them was aware at every second of our needs and adapted in the most flexibel and reliable way to our requests. We had an upgrade to the sunset villa has the one we have booked would have ment to walk a little more to the resort parts, even though there is always someone ready to pick you up in a buggy plus we had our own personal bikes to move around. I couldn’t be more grateful for the outmost professional attention we received from the whole resort team. William the operations manager assured safe arrivals and departures to the island even when the weather conditions would be challenging tue to the tides or big waves. He also supervised from behind the scenes our entire stay to guarantee our stressless joy. Big shoutout too to Musa our sport activity instructor who assured in every way that my 7 month pregnant girlfriend could feel like a mermaid while snorkeling through the different corrals and sand banks around the island. Thanks to his experience as a sucuba diver instructor and free diver he managed to find clear diving spots full of sealife. He also eternalized our memories with pictures through out the activities. Even though my girlfriend has several allergies and culinary restrictions, we had no worries about any food issues thanks to a young Italian Master Chef who instructed the whole service team to prepare the most amazing local and international food. Anwar our personal assistant deserves special recognition. He was always available through out our stay. Thanks to him, my girlfriend had the best birthday ever. We started our day with floating breakfast with an amazing view from our private pool at our villa and after a day full of activities we were able to have a private dinner with candle lights in the garden of the sultan villa. He supported me in every way (4 course menu, birthday cake, romantic scenery’s at dinner and hotel villa, karaoke DJ, …) plus there was not a single moment we couldn’t fully enjoy our privacy. There were many many more team members I would like to thank personally as they were all exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Bahiti Steve Omany Margareth and all the rest, thank you. This place is worth every single penny, the way the whole resort is set up, the way they maintain it, and all the attention they grant to their guests is just amazing. I believe there’s not a single place on Sansibar that can compete with this luxury resort. The standards they set to themselves are the highest. You can tell I’m impressed. As i come from logistics I have to point out that it’s a private island that is basically self sustained in every way. I’ve heard that they brought a whole traditional Italian pizza oven from Europe piece by piece. And they are also expanding their activity offers and

We were able to spend five days on this dream island. In addition to the sensational location, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was especially impressive. It is really hard to single out one person. Whether it was the service at the pool or in the restaurant, the room service, the spa staff or of course the dive team, we would like to thank everyone for their efforts. Not to forget our butler Kennedy. A special highlight was the "White Night". DJ Alfonse brought us all to this wonderful place. A wonderful contrast to the otherwise quiet and relaxed atmosphere of the island. We would like to thank all the staff again. We would love to come back soon!
