With older historically lower income neighborhoods like this, you will see visible deferred maintenance and sometimes yards and front porches with a collection of random objects, some may call it hoarding. This neighborhood is completely safe despite some of the decrepit homes and with the new $40 million dollar mixed-use development like Brookland and the ongoing State Street revitalization, this area is only getting better and better!
