컴포트 인 매튜 / 샬럿(Comfort Inn Matthews / Charlotte)

Room was very outdated. Bathroom door mess, bathroom itself was cleaned but so old so stains ans dirt. Lots dust all over and blankets looked dirty. They need to update big time.

Walking through the front door, I was assaulted by the artificial, chemically, acrid smell of air freshener. Walking into our room, the overwhelming smell of stale cigarette smoke took over. Later in the evening it was the pungent skunky **** that took up residence. Which I suppose explained the 7+ air fresheners, zip tied to the outlets, I counted on the walk to our room. The rooms are dated but comfortable, and aside from the smells, it was a perfectly adequate place for the night.

The property was in a quiet area although I had difficulty finding it using GPS. It is tucked away within the shopping center. Overall, the property was pretty clean, it’s a dated building, so everything was a little old. My room had a slight smell of mildew when I arrived and the smell existed the entire stay. I do not know why. The staff and customer service was wonderful.

Our room smelled bad and when turned on the heater/ac unit smelled as well. Staff was very kind and quickly moved us to a new room which was better as to odor, still musty, but not the king room I reserved. There were scent units all down the hallways to cover odors. Appeared the hotel experienced flooding and didn't replaced carpet or somesuch. Carpet was aged and dirty in room and halls.

A little noisy the first night but fine the rest of the nights. Very good breakfast, well stocked and clean

My room was not the cleanest. . . There was dust and dirt on the counters and cabinets. The staff was very friendly, however!

This is the second time I have stayed at this property and I will continue to do so each time I visit Charlotte. It's convenient because it's close to where my granddaughter lives and that's who we visit. Although a little older, the hotel is always clean and neat. Early mornings have the cleaning staff washing floors and laundry efficiently. The breakfast is self serve with an array of hot and cold items from bacon and eggs to cereal and yogart. Only thing missing is fresh fruit but there are so many other things it's okay. And the price fits our budget. I will continue to stay here when I visit Charlotte.

The place was very clean and the staff were very nice. We would stay here again.

The only positive was that they let us check in early but they put us in the bottom floor at the end by the Garbage dumpster so we woke up in the morning at 4:30 AM to the Garbage truck. The place smelled like mildew and they had oder eaters plugged in all down the hallway. Thankful they had coffee in the rooms because the coffee they brewed in the Morning was Swamp Water. Tasted like old socks. The breakfast area appeared to be clean and was no thrills (didn't expect any so was not disappointed). the staff at front desk was not attentive and were busier on the computer than to say good morning. Outside was dirty, there was a dirty balled up towel by the curb when we got there and it was there 3 days laater when we left... second day we saw a guy attempting to sweep outside but somehow he missed the trash and the balled up discusting towel. Not attention to detail and in general poor hotel. Will not pick it again FOR SURE.
